I figured that this might've been mentioned by now, considering it's been a day or two but...

http://youtube.com/watch?v=pDmAKnw7AJw

Never ask Kerry and be this kid.

Then again I think there was something similar to this a while back and UCLA paid out compensation or the like to it...

Still...

Looks like it was a consequence of jumpy and maybe unprepared campus police overreacting... I recall hearing that the justification for arresting him was something like "attempting to incite a riot"...

Daily Cycle II ~ 3042
I find it amusing that the reporters didn't ask why he was tazered in the first place as opposed to "It took 7+ or whatever people to get him down"?

Although also am suprised he still answered it.

Jeez... I remember reading that this morning... I guess it's pure over reaction that did it anyway. I saw that story but it kinda' pushed aside when I saw that someone sued God.

Anyway, that kid SO got--

You guys don't know the whole story. The guy who did this is a "Professional Jerk" and he not only cut in front of the entire press line, but he talked for several minutes not asking any questions but making statements. When the cops told him that there was a set time and he needed to get to his question he simply told them off and said he "will get to his question". They eventually shut off his mic and he got pissed off and started yelling and screaming, thus the cops took charge to calm him down. This was recorded because he does this as a job, he made sure to make a scene. He also did something similar with the latest Harry Potter book release. When they finally tazered him, it was fully needed as he was kicking and screaming and resisting arrest for minutes. Guys a jerk, he wanted to be a jerk, and he got the publicity he wanted. Unfortunately, the only things getting out to most people is that he didn't do anything wrong, when in fact he did. Check the news stories around, my Cisco teacher went over it and brought out sources today about it. It's pretty clear that what he got was deserved and he was a total ass.

Fun Fact: Today, Kerry said he feels bad and that the cops shouldn't have done that, but just yesterday he was poking fun at him and making remarks about him daily.

I knew about Kerry being somewhat of a dick but I didn't officially hear that the rest of the side story to it...but it doesn't surprise me either.

Like I said, I figured it was a copycat one to the UCLA one some time ago that paid out a compensation to an incident similar to this...I only heard it in passing so I don't know the details to it.

In the article I read, it didn't sound as if he struggled enough to deserve a tazer... I guess I should read more into this now. I barely remember an incident at UCLA but it's in my head somewhere...

"Meyer, a senior telecommunications major from the Fort Lauderdale suburb of Weston, has a Web site featuring several homemade videos. In one, he stands in a street with a sign that says "Harry Dies" after the latest Harry Potter book was released. In another, he acts like a drunk in a bar while trying to pick up a man dressed in drag."

"The site also has what is called a "disorganized diatribe" attributed to Meyer that criticizes the Iraq war, the news media for not covering the conflict enough and the American public for paying too much attention to celebrity news."

"Just before Monday's scuffle started, Meyer asked a woman to tape his exchange with Kerry. One officer said the woman was "there to film him" and that Meyer asked, "Are you taping this? Do you have this? You ready?" before beginning his question."

---------All of that is his other things he has pulled....But here's the other part of the story most people who brought it up today (At school) didn't know.

"Meyer refused to leave the microphone after his allotted time was up, police said. He had asked Kerry about impeaching President Bush, why he didn't challenge the 2004 election results and whether he and Bush were members of the secret society Skull and Bones at Yale University.

After Meyer repeatedly and loudly refused to walk away, two officers took him by the arms. Kerry can be heard saying, "That's all right, let me answer his question."

Audience members applauded, though it was difficult to tell whether it was for the officers' action or Kerry's remark. The audience for the most part sat quietly and watched the fracas.

Meyer struggled for several seconds as up to four officers tried to remove him from the room. He screamed for help and tried to break away from officers with his arms flailing, then was forced to the ground and ordered to stop resisting.

As Kerry told the audience he will answer the student's "very important question," Meyer yelled at the officers to release him, crying out, "Don't Tase me, bro," just before he was shocked. He was led from the room, screaming, "What did I do?"

An officer, however, said in the police report that Meyer's "demeanor completely changed once the cameras were not in sight" and that he was "laughing" and "lighthearted" on the way to jail."

Wonder if that should be discredited because of the 'FOX NEWS' on the bottom...

I'd believe it though.

Yeah, I was gonna say. It's a well known fact that FOX spins everything pro-democrat in to them sounding like we have horns and pitchforks.

Oh, horseshit.

It's not our fault that Republicans these days are horribly corrupt beyond belief. Democrats don't have to make up lies about Republicans like Republicans have to do about Democrats.

I'm not saying all Republicans are bad, but even the good Republicans are starting to turn on the bad ones. In the American political environment today, when partisanship is falling apart, you know major shit is going down.

The Democrats in congress are incompetant, but at least they're not lying, hypocritical losers and cowards.

Drag's Post #232
It'd be nice if everything news-related didn't have to drag this political bullshit into it. This is exactly the reason I hate politics, people will KILL each other over one stupidass issue that republicans and democrats disagree over.

... I'm tired of the political debates here. We seem to think the same of each other. Democrats are lying, sleazy, bastards... of course, you think the same of Republicans. Why not just forget about it and stop openly mocking my side?

The house Democrats don't often lie or are at all sleazy,

They're just useless sellouts. In short: American politicians blow ass okay.

The common argument that "all politicians are the same" is in my opinion a reason for the decline of American politics- we've essentially grown to the point of becoming so cynical about politicians that we just sigh and put up with it when they do anything sleazy nowadays...
