How do you refer to the ! symbol?

I call it the exclamation point. The question mark is already a mark, so the exclamation point gets to be different by being a point I don't know, I think my mom said "exclamation mark" years ago, but I learned "exclamation point" in school. Then, my mom picked up on that too.

I call it 'ih' for some bizarre reason. Like !logical = "Ih-logical."

Paulguy's Post configuration
Exclamation point, unless I'm reading "#!", then it's bang.

Vykřičník.
A direct translation would be something like "Enshouter".

But you got me with the English. I think I'd use exclamation mark.

EDIT: "Meow! With an !." I read that mentally as "Meow! With an uh."

When placed in a sentence at point, it functions normally.
When added to a sentence as its own function like ! so, I may or may not think of it as "Exclamation Mark". Although that may be a bad example, I am now seeing "like importantly so"
When used on its own, as in "!" is a sentence, my mind generates some form of sound effect that (like a lot of me) depends on my mood at the time. Sometimes it's like the MGS Spotted sound, but not this time. (This time, it's kind of...like an "Ungh!" played on an old sound chip, perhaps NES)

I call it an exclamation mark, though.

I've always called it Exclamation Point, to help distinguish it from the Question Mark. I've never heard of it as being referred to as "bang" before, though.

I think "bang" is mostly in computer programming for a shorter name for the symbol.

There's also "explanation point", for people who can't remember the initial word correctly.

I have always called it an exclamation mark, just like how I've always called "?" a question mark.

I call it the exclamation point, because it makes a point for me, whereas no other punctuation mark makes such an impact.

With an exclamation point, people start taking what I say seriously!

Well, I read this thread title in my head as "Poll: Bang!"

In the context of grammar, I call it an exclamation point. In most other cases, I default to Bang.

Generally an "exclamation point" or "exclamation mark", I do refer to it as "bang" in terms of programming.

Same thing with #. It's usually "number" for numbers, "hash" and very rarely "crunch" for programming.

Chi.
Mentally I don't read it by a name. I just kind of read it like... an unpronounciable symbol. Like a (heavily in this case) emphasized blank.
Kind of like ♥♪?!. That name doesn't match his personality much.

The symbol though I call it exclamation sign or mark. Or just exclamation to abbreviate.

Like Reimu, if I'm reading a sentence in my head or aloud, I won't read the exclamation point.

Also, "exclamation" for a shorter way of saying it, if need be.
