Samsung Galaxy Tab gets official teaser video

Looks like the iPad is finally getting some mainstream competition. I've been reading about it for a while, but we have more details and press conference date of 9/2/2010 from Berlin. If its priced competitively with the iPad, it could do really well. Built in 3G, video chat, HD video, and flash support via Android 2.2

Looks really great. More portable size than the iPad and includes expandable memory card slot, front and rear cameras, and build in speaker w/ mic.

Looks nice, although my experience with samsung thus far has been with them releasing a device with seemingly great specs, but with buggy firmware (hideously so, in one case), and dropping support just months after release.

Maybe they'll learn their lesson this time around? :specialed:

This seems like something I'd get so long as the price tag is reasonable. I'll have to see how much they're pitching it for before I can say for sure if I can catch it.

Rumored pricing not looking so good.

$890 for 16GB and $1020 for 32GB. According to Samsung, they have not release any pricing info at all yet and say any prices you hear are false. But if its not $499 for a base model, say good bye to any chance of competing with Apple in the US.

Eh, rumors are just rumors. I don't believe anything until I see concrete evidence.

I'm kind of expecting it to be less, the price you said sounds about right.

Verizon - $600 unsubsidized
Data plan pricing is still rumors but start at $20 for 1GB confirmed.

The interesting thing about Verizon is that if I remember right they will also be offering the iPad with a MiFi in their stores... it'll be interesting to see how they do "head to head".
