Mario (and Luigi) have had many power-ups through the ages. Which one is your favourite?

I always liked SMB3's Hammer Suit, especially for its powers to kill thwomps and other usually invincible enemies.

Small Fire Mario! Though I don't really like normal fire mario.

For normal powers, I guess Racoon Mario is fine. I find Tanooki creepy. And Racoon is the P-Wing default.

Metal Mario is cool too. And Bunny.

Hammer Suit.

Seriously, that thing was so ridiculously overpowered. Block projectiles by ducking into a shell, take out virtually any enemy with the hammers (including Dry Bones and Thwomps)... there's a reason we all cursed to ourselves whenever you got hit while having it.

I liked the Hammer Bros. Suit, too. I once beat Bowser with it. Massive pain-in-the-ass getting all the way through his castle with it without taking a hit and losing it, but it was well worth it to be able to beat Bowser without having to wait for him to mash through the floor.

Hammer Suit woo! It's no wonder they don't give it to you until World 6. I'd stock up on them in All-Stars and run through earlier worlds with them.


Kuribo's Shoe gets an honorable mention, especially since it can stack on top of regular powerups.

Now that you mention it, Baby Mario's starman.

Invincibility, running up walls to the ceiling, gliding, and there often are more stars to keep the powerup long enough.
The catch is that it's limitied to areas designed for it. (except in that cave level)

I remember doing all of the time , I would always end up doing something stupid soon after getting it which would make losing it feel even worse .

The hammer suit is by far my favorite power-up in the Mario universe, it's too bad that they never brought it back in a future game .

Hammer suit, blue shell and ice flower have to be my favorite ones.

Blue shell have the risky yet fast speeding by stages gameplay that I like. And for some reason I just LOVE freezing things with the ice flower! :3
