Which Yoshi in Super Mario World do you like the best?
The plural of Yoshi is Yoshi, or should be. I think Nintendo tends to use "Yoshis", though.

What's your favourite SMW Yoshi?

Green is actually my favourite colour of the 4 in general, but Blue Yoshi is my favourite Yoshi because of their flying power

They could have made the red and yellow ones a whole lot better in general, or make the blue one less over powered.

There is a reason why the blue yoshi was supposedly well hidden.

But yeah, Red/Yellow could of used a buff.

Yellow was so much fun, just stomping and smashing everything. Blue was definitely the most useful, but I had the most fun with Yellow. If i needed to fly, I could just get the cape

Blue Yoshi with a yellow shell in its mouth... ground pounding and flying? I'll take that. =D

I hate how a lot of SMW hacks make you do a Yoshicide to complete a jump, though =/

Blue for sure! I like holding down the run button when I get the shell and then just beat the level really fast. Sometimes spit it out before Yoshi swallows it. I beat Star World 4 using Blue Yoshi, because I did not have the red switch palace beaten.

Somewhat Off Topic: I beat Super Mario World, but then I dropped the cartridge and all my saves got erased.

Didn't blue allow beating Tubular with half your sanity intact? I recall you being able to eat a shell and skip part of that hideous level.

And any yoshi would become blue with the wings.

I think that was Outrageous. Tubular has no shells early enough to skip the insane "P" balloon and Chuck fest. And no runway for flying with the cape, either.

No, it was definitively Tubular. You had to fly and bounce on the chucks or something, which was very hard to do, but possible. What you skip is the harder, later part with the lava plants other enemies everywhere.

Real men don't need any yoshi.

Blue is the easiest to use there, as other yoshi routes require ditching the stupid horse.

I never really had a preferance.

Actually you can use blue yoshi to beat tubular, but it still takes some skill.

I seem to be in agreement with most everyone else here. Especially since you could get him very quickly: enter star world 2, wait a couple seconds for him to eat the power up, hop on, and start+select to exit the level.

The game also seems to promote the blue one, as you don't need to go to Star Road 2. Get a green Yoshi, get wings from a question block and it turns into Blue Yoshi. I forgot if those wings also turn non-green Yoshi into a blue one as well, but afair the transformation only works on a Green Yoshi.
Also I think nobody wants the red one, as there are only three hard to aim fireballs and any shell in Yoshi's mouth is gone after spitting it out - of course you can still salvage that one coin by swallowing the shell, if you have like 99 coins and desparately need a 1UP (a big, big lie in SMW ).
