My dad is going away on a business trip soon. Usually he wakes my brother up for school but since he won't be here, the job gets passed to me. Yesterday at the dinner table I told him that while dad was gone I'd find a different creative way to wake him up every morning. I've got ideas like yelling or throwing something, but I need more.

So, any ideas?

Get a music player with the 1812 Overture on it. It'll start out quiet, but once it gets to the cannons... :3

Air horn was just about the first thing I thought of.

One of my friends here at school mantioned the classic bucket of water.

I also have an electric violin with an amp. Plug it in and BOOM!

I used to do this with my roomates.

Get a lot of bubble wrap and place it near the bed where he first steps off when he wakes up. As soon as his foot is pressured against the bubbles, POP POP POW POP POP!!!!

It worked for my dad, he woke right up.

If he has an alarm close to his bed set it to the time he needs to get and turn the volume up full blast

The bucket of water is nice, but soaks everything. I prefer the bucket of tennis balls.

Turn on the tv
Silently, turn everything that controls the volume up all the way. (as in a channel withouth signal or something...)
Mute the tv.
If you can, put the speakers in his room.
Turn on the GC with ssbm (if not, then any game with an intro that involves an explosion and a loud title screen may work)
When the bob omb appears and it says it says "get ready" or something, do so and un-mute the tv.

This is, if you don't care about loud sounds...

If he sleeps deeply enough for you to get headphones on him, full blast, Atlantis no Nazo theme. That's creative.

Put something that shakes violently in his mattress.

Press play and watch him fall out of bed. :3

Play a gamecube game with rumble on and put the other 3 controllers on top of him, then start playing.

Spray something aerosol like Axe in his face. That'll get him up.

I'd give you other ideas but I'm sure you aren't nearly as cruel as I am so I'll just keep them to myself.

Some of you guys are mean!

I should mention that he doesn't have a TV in his room and that he's not an incredibly deep sleeper. Mostly he's a resistant-to-getting-out-of-bed sleeper.

I wish he did have a TV though. Some of these ideas are great. I do have an iPod stereo though. I think one day I'll sneak in and blast Operation Ground and Pound at full volume.

Put a spider in his bed. That'll get him up quickly.

I hope you have the common sense to see the danger in many of these ideas.

I'm terrible at getting out of bed too, so here's a few tricks I use to help myself:
1) Many, many alarms, set 5 or 10 minutes apart from eachother. The first 2 are DSes, the next few (up to 11 ) are a batch script that opens the Kirby's Adventure NSF in Winamp, puts it on repeat, and gradually turns up the volume.

2) Put the alarm clocks far from bed, so you have to actually get up and walk to them.

3) If it's cold, turn a heater on. It's a hell of a lot harder to get up when your room's freezing.

4) Have pets come in and annoy you.

If you're looking for fun ways to wake someone up, though, might I suggest pinching their nose or just ripping the blankets right off? Just be sure they're wearing something...
