Let's talk about those games that dominated arcades long before Pong and Breakout came along...
Whenever I go to a nearby pizzeria or the bowling alley... after I'm finished eating/playing a few bowling games, I always go to the pinball machine for a couple games of pinball. I think Gottlieb made some of the best machines of all time, with Williams a close second. It's a shame that the only pinball manufacturer left today is Stern, though... =( It's a good thing that we have pinball games for the computer now, though. Some of my favorites are the 21st Century pinball games for Amiga/DOS, but out of all of those, my favorite is Pinball Fantasies. =D I also like Epic Pinball for DOS, and the Space Cadet pinball that came with Windows 2000/XP. I've also used Visual Pinball and Future Pinball, two very good pinball games for Windows, which are mainly targeted at recreations of real tables (both electromechanical and solid state)... ____________________ YouTube • DeviantArt • The Left Mouse Button |

I was never very good at real machines. Too expensive to keep practicing, and I could only play on vacations or shopping trips because there were no public pinball games in our village, AFAIK.

Don't think I've ever played a real pinball machine.
