For the regular male user, could you make the blue a bit brighter, or stand out a bit more? I keep looking at it and think "How did they get banned?" before I realise that it's actually blue. It might just be me.

Adjust your monitor's colors maybe? I can easily tell the difference between banned and male. You may just need to tweak your contrast or color warmth so that the blue is more blueish.

Yea, the dark purple for N/A can sometimes appear as banned grey for me... I don't have a problem with any other colors but that. =/

Most of the colors are the same as they were in the original I1, but the N/A regular color was eventually changed between AB1.81 and AB1.90, IIRC...

Edit: Fun fact: The reason the female admin color is still the same as it was in 2001 is because the board's first female admin, Danicess, used that particular shade of purple for various things. It, and the emoticon, are the only things remaining of the legacy of Danicess. =P

Nowadays, only full mods (or admins?) and up see super users as the old Local Mod colors; I believe the color was last used for local mods either at board2 or early in Jul's history...

Not so much "early" (the decision to turn it off was within the last two years or so), but yes, it's used for powerlevel 1 for admins/mods.

I thought it was just admins who say the super colours, actually. I was kind of surprised to find that supers actually don't have those colours show up, so sometimes we're asking each other who is super

A lot of the colours were changed in early 2002, then the N/A local mod colour changed in 2003, but was reverted in I believe 2004 with the launch of I2.

I've had people think I was a mod before. Probably because I have magical restricted forum access Also, I tend to PM users with bad layouts and such.

With the SM64 people, it seems to me that a lot of them never leave the SM64 forum, and they're probably from non-AcmlmBoards where username colours don't usually get used much, and they see you close threads and delete posts and yell at n00bs and such a lot.

It could be nice if the user's power was shown bolded between their name and their "rank" in order to avoid confusion.

They are, assuming they don't have a title. (For example, mine is usually set to a space to keep it hidden when I don't feel like having a title; otherwise it says "Administrator")
