The question of the decade is not "Was this really necessary?". The question is:

What were you doing to find this? Oh, and maybe who is Vanna?

Vanna White. She is the letter turner/activator on Wheel of Fortune in the United States. =P

Fun fact: She was also in Contestant's Row on The Price is Right back in 1981 or 1982 (don't remember the exact year), before she became the hostess on Wheel of Fortune. =P

Vanna White, the letter presenter on Wheel of Fortune.

I was reading my email. I'm part of the Wheel Watcher's club. You can sign up for to potentially win the same price the contestants on Wheel of Fortune win during the Prize Puzzle round.

This was the button in the email:

Wheel watchers club is actually pretty cool. Not only are you automatically entered into a contest daily to win whatever the contestant wins, but if you use a sony card, you're also entered to win $50,000 cash. But the real good thing is that there are things you can do on the site daily that take no time and earn you instant money regardless. you get 10 cents a day for entering in the wheel of fortune bonus puzzle, 25 cents a day for choosing the correct final jeopardy category, and another 10 cents a day for answering a random trivia question. Plus, polls and other crap come up periodically that earns you an additional 10 cents for trying, and once a week, you can play jeopardy and earn $2. So without extras, you can earn 45 cents a day plus $2 a week for doing nothing (it really is doing nothing if you have a site bookmarked that gives you all the answers daily). That means if you stick to it, you will get over $200 a year easy in addition to 1 contest entry per day for that entire year.

The only catch is that all of your money is in "Sony Points" which just means that you must redeem your cash for a Sony product or gift card. Still, unless you REALLY hate Sony, its a pretty good deal. I've already gotten a $200 car stereo system through there, and I'm saving up for one of the HDTVs. Plus you can get Sears and Kohl's gift cards if you really don't like anything on there. Sorry if this sounds like an advertisement.

But yeah, what's the deal with Vanna white? She's the freakin' letter turner and its like people worship her. Of course, its not as bad now as it was in the 80s from what I understand, but still. And the only way I would "dress up Vanna" is if it earned me Sony Points. Still I know that there must be a ton of people who think that is fun and cool if there are a ton of people who love farmville, bejeweled, and other crap on facebook.

It's because, even at age 53, she is still fairly hot.

Yes, even I think that.
