That is pretty kickass!

Warning though, the video is loud.

I think it would be a little easier to control if the car didn't zip along so quickly. The track would need to be scaled down a little more though.

Or they could just not floor it the whole time, I imagine. :p Like any simulation racing game, really. You aren't going to get the crazy fast, lenient arcade style controls, that automatically guide you along the track so you can't fall off as easily

Seriously though, you could easily make a Mario Kart racing version of this. Either use model train type materials or make it more cartoonish and do papercraft/printed designs. Although the little RC versions I linked earlier would be too small, but you could make custom bodies for real RC cars.
