I do think "Xbox Next"/"Xenon" was a cooler name than "Xbox 360", though... it's like when the Wii's final name was released, but people got used to it anyway. =P

Anyone remember that cancelled Sega Neptune? It was a Genesis and a 32X combined, which it should've been in the first place. =/

I still like "Ybox", then "Zbox". After that, they'd have to be more creative or start using stuff like "Åbox" (Swedish)

I liked the name "Nintendo Revolution", I thought it sounded cool. "Wii", I still am not too fond of, name-wise, although I have got used to it. I always thought people would associate it with, you know, urination.

I always thought that Sony was rather unimaginative, just numbering its PlayStations. On the other hand, Sega has all kinds of cool-sounding names for its consoles, but if you aren't familiar with them, it's hard to know the order, especially if you don't know that the Mega Drive and the Genesis are the same console. Nintendo is kind of in between those extremes.

And they are starting to do the same with the Nintendo 3DSliteiXL money printer

So they really are the ones that add random affixes to their consoles.

I have one, I picked it up after my DS lite (yes the GBM was new then) for a very good price. I mainly got it to have something to bring to school and on train rides! :specialed:
