Just very recently (within the last few hours) the Blackberry Torch has been revealed on Engadget. It appears to sport a large touch screen as well as a sliding keyboard. I can't say for sure whether it would be a buy or pass, though. At least not yet.

Also, apparently it's going to be exclusively on AT&T, at least for now.

	I saw the news post but didn't think much about it. I'm shocked that RIM would do an ATT only deal with how much bad rap the iPhone has received for the same thing. The phone seems pretty fast and snazzy. Blackberry's have been behind on the hip and cool features for a long time. The Storm tried to rectify that, but it wasn't all that great. This looks similar to a Palm Pre but better. One thing I noticed was that BB6 UI takes a lot of design cues from Android. I'm still holding out for my EVO 4G that should be available to Sprint employees sometime this month. I'm on an employee's advantage plan so we have to wait until its available for employees to purchase. ____________________

This does look like something I wouldn't mind using instead of, say, a comparable Android device. That and the sliding candybar form factor hasn't been done much for smartphones, either.

Yeah, have fun with that iPhone, guys.

I even have a BlackBerry Curve (Sprint) but I don't think I'd get the Torch over something like the Evo 4G or something, if I could afford it.

But honestly, going AT&T only? That has to be the dumbest decision I've seen yet.
