Anyone else here a Worms fan? It's finally coming to Steam! You can pre-purchase it now for 10% off (25% off for a four-pack, anyone interested? I have two so far) and get some extra goodies.

Xkeeper: Worms is basically Gunbound + production values + more varied gameplay modes - stupid hacks - horde of Brazilians. Plus a lot of people here like Worms (cpu's a big fan) so you're guaranteed that we'll be playing this.
Ashley: I *would* have jumped in on that. Problem is that I pre-ordered last week as soon as the game was announced. Steam is a cruel bitch like that.
Worms Armageddon was the biggest fucking timesink for me.
You have no idea how excited I am for this.
What makes this even better: Team17 is actually listening to the fans in regards to many things and answering questions. That alone makes me have high high hopes for this game.
Worms Open Warfare 2 for DS was actually not bad at all for what it was. The problem is that Worms really needs to be controlled with a keyboard/mouse combo. Especially if you've played the original.
Worms 3D... argh...
Eppy: If you like Gunbound/Scorched Earth/anything along those lines, you'll love this.
Keep in mind this is the first 2D Worms game on the PC in like... years.
And the PC games have the ability to import pictures as battlegrounds AND THIS ONE IS GOING TO DO IT AS WELL!
The only thing is that it is 4 player max, but given that 8 players with 2 worms each would mean not only waiting a while but possibly not even playing if you get ganged up on, I'm fine with it.

Worms is awesome! I have WWP, W:A, W2, and Worms 2 Open Warfare. They are super funny, and despite W:A being really old, people (usually about 80~) are online. They are super cheap too. People make all kind of fun things for it like telekinesis and stuff. A good website is http://worms2d.info/Main_Page and the Team 17 forums. There is still a spot to say stuff about Worms 2 0.o even though it is about 12~ years old.
I am definitely thinking about this, since I really need to find a legitimate use for Steam on my computer (my laptop struggles to run the Orange Box games, for example*), and I was way late jumping on the Worms bandwagon(s) before, so maybe this time around, I won't be .
*yes, I know there are many many other cheap good games on Steam that I'd probably have no problem running at all, I'll get around to some of them eventually

I was totally absorbed by Worms WP/A in high school but newer computer configurations have proved difficult to play it these days. Other iterations have been so poor, but I'm quite excited about this. I just don't know if I'll have the time to play it among other games I have.

What do I need to do?
