I replied to the gaming challenge thread, but neither my post did appear, nor I deleted my post or created a new thread by accident.
As shown, my post doesn't show up. But if I go into my profile and click on the last post link, it shows me my single reply. I am just interested, what happened there actually ... was it my mistake or something else ?

If this is something other users encounter as well (like a bug affecting all members here), feel free to trash this thread. Thanks.

Maybe it's your cache settings loading the cached version of the page. Try Ctrl+F5 on the page to reload it.

Ctrl+F5 forces the page to render without using the cache though (at least in some browsers). F5 won't do that and will load the cached page again, not helping the problem.

Well, reloading didn't help me, the same also happens in Internet Explorer and Opera, since I usually use Firefox. And IE and Opera had not that board in their cache(s) and I am also not logged in there, so the problem must be either my ... connection (I am using no proxy) or something else happened

The last post in that thread I see is Skreeny's always.

It's because of Bloodstupid an Hyperannoying... they decided to be smartasses and post in that thread before it was even created (and old bug fixed after this old release) ...

Someone deleted it, so it lowered the reply count by two even though it was actually below the real count of posts (20 - 2 = 18), so your post is actually on a phantom page... I'll update the reply count to be 20 as it should be, thanks for pointing it out.

I swear, if I have to do this any other times (aside from 1000, which I already know about) I'm going to *strangle* some people...


(Note: the reason it was working for some people and not others is because it'd only show up with 20 posts/page. Anything higher would make it show up on page1 (it's the 21st post). Lower posts/page, like 19, say, would put two posts on the phantom page, 18 would put 3, and 17 would show the correct number of pages (until it got to a 17-post boundary again)... once I noticed it was thread 888 it was simple to understand what had happened.
