I love random, useless, funny glitches. So I was playing SMB3 and I used the P-Wing on world 4 level 5 and I went up the pipe that you get up through the vine and for some reason there was an odd sprite as the head of the vine. But that is not all. I went up into the pipe and hit the big block but I went right through and got the Tanooki. Lol, P-wing Tanooki, MOAR LIKE PWNING! But anyway there is another glitch that is the least interesting and probably less rare. If a block is hit right at the edge of the screen, a hit block will appear somewhere else.

Ok, can you please post your (or someone elses) glitches that are weird and interesting. Game Genie and other codes are accepted.

My all-time favorite glitch is the big black void in the sky of Indiana Jones & the Infernal Machine.

When you blow a hole in the wall of this pyramid I'm standing in here, it also makes a giant rectangular hole appear in the sky beyond the mountains.

Now why is this my favorite video game glitch? It really says something about the developers' commitment to fixing glitches that they not only left it in there when it's that obvious, but also...

...if you look very carefully, you can even see it on the friggin' stage select image!!

Glitches caused by Game Genie codes are not really "glitches."

The GB LOZ:LA screen warp as well as super metroids reset game glitch are two of the most awesome ones that I know off.

I remember doing the Super Mario World one accidentally as a kid knowing nothing about it, and getting completely freaked out because I thought I just broke the game beyond repair. Then I got pissed because I lost all of my saved progress when I reset the system. Didn't know that all I had to do was go to Vanilla Dome and everything would be back to normal.

I know I've discovered plenty of glitches but I can't think of any of them. Oh wait, here's one.
This is all I can come up with now: In Yoshi's Island, when you throw a big egg at the talking Box at the final part of 2-9 the screen will become glitchy. Do not do this if it is your first time on the level as you cannot press start and select to exit. You need to exit or the game will freeze at the goal, erasing your saves... yes, it happened to me.

Girl in the pot in Secret of Mana gets rescued by another Girl.

Girl not in the pot, allows Boy to freely explore the Goblin camp. (Will still be rescued by a second Girl.)

Sprite in the pot is up to his head in stew.

(Don't save your game if you do the Sprite version of this glitch because you won't be able to get the Spear.)

More of an exploit than a glitch, but still not supposed to happen: duplicating weapons in Final Fantasy Tactics. Only when you have a ninja with the two swords ability. You go to the fitting room at a shop and put the weapon you want to dupe in e left hand slot with the right hand blank. Then you do best fit and it leaves the weapon in the left and puts the same one in the right. I had Excalibur on all my characters as soon as i got Orlandu.

Lol I fail. Oh and yeah I know, but I feel like there could be some interesting code like the is a code that lets you pick up the blue blocks in mid air and out of other things in SMB3. I think the code is AOSUZSSI.

Another one of my favorites is the Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest Castle Crush glitch. I got the game to do all kinds of weird crap with that. Usually, it just crashes, but every once in a great while, Diddy will turn into a glitched-up boss character for several seconds, and then game will either freeze or crash.

I once saw those Playstation 1 demos (the ones with 9 boxes showing games) to display all nine boxes as garbled green and blue vertical lines. This happened on a few different versions.

Oh god, this one... has to be the weirdest glitch in existence. Interesting to watch different effects.

I wonder why it takes out save files seemingly at random, though? It's not always harmful or crashy, though - sometimes, when the "barrel" is broken at the right place, from what I've seen, it can just create another of one of the sprites currently on screen. Has to be carried some distance, though... (Actually, the Rambi barrel looks like it's doing the same thing, so I dunno why THAT crashes it so hard but not creating another enemy.)

From my hours of experimenting with that glitch, it looked to me like what was happening is that the game was attempting to replace the empty "air" in Diddy's hands with the nearest sprite. If the nearest sprite is an enemy, then that enemy is moved into Diddy's hands which inevitably results in him taking a hit, but doesn't usually affect the game in any other way.

If the nearest sprite is that Rambi barrel, however, that's when you get all kinds of crazy things to occur. It seems like it specifically tries to load boss data, (I've seen Diddy turn into Klubba, the giant Sword boss, and the giant Bee boss), but I don't know why it tries to load boss data instead of just Rambi.

At least until I can do something better...
I once made a gameshark for DKC2 animal friends... for some reason they go with a pair of variables with very specific values randomly distant from each other, and using anything else makes the game go crazy. Including playing a glitched Lost World scene.

No wonder trying to glitch those barrels erase save files.

Another of my favorite game glitches: The glitch in Secret of Evermore that allows you to completely skip the Verminator boss. (Though one has to wonder if doing so much backtracking is really worth it.)
