Awww, I'm gonna be an English teacher! This is the kind of assignment I can't wait to give to my students.

Most of my writing assignments in high school were to be completed on a novel or time period, so they weren't very fun. While I love literature and writing, writing isn't as enjoyable if I don't get to choose what I want to write about. By far my favorite assignments have been from college professors. I'd say the one that tops the charts was from my professor of a logical argumentation class. I had to take something from the 2008 elections (which is when I was in the class) and use the logic to determine whether a person, ballot measure, proposition, etc was rational or not. It was certainly a risky assignment, because many people are very serious about their political beliefs. I chose to write about the fallacies of California's Proposition 8, which I was (and still am) extremely passionate about. It was without a doubt the most enjoyable paper I've ever written, because I got to "prove" how wrong the prop is using nothing but logical reasoning.
