Actually, you're thinking about green+orange. This one doesn't look at all like any of the SSB color schemes. There is a brown costume in those games, but it has an off-white shirt and blue shoes.

Just speculating, but white+blue may have been the early costume for Ice Mario, before they decided on the icy appearance.

No, check the fifth costume.

Blue+White for Ice Mario seems plausible.

I agree, it seems most likely that it was meant for Ice power. The brown and green costume, however, is different from the SSB costume. The overalls are darker and the cap is brown, not green. I'm not sure what power this could have been intended for.

Okay, found it under TwinPeanutsPlanetBLow:

It's pretty much the opposite of the temporary high model, even though it still has alot of polygons...
You'd think these two would be swapped?
Or maybe I'm totally wrong and this is something unrelated to the temporary high model XD .

There's also DiskFlowerPlanet, which is an alternative version of DiskGardenPlanet:

I think they showed this version at E3...
Anyway, ta-da.

I also feel that it was allso an placeholder for ice Mario just because ice Mario, fire Mario and the red star powerup all share similar music and apart from ice Mario were just colour swaps of the original Mario.
(don't know if that made sence)

And I give you some more:
HiTowerGoalPlanet, OceanOnimasuPlanet, OctopusTrapPlanet, PhantomCavePlanet, SeaStormPlanet, WaterTransparentPlanet and WaterTransparentPlanetLow all contain the same temporary high model. OceanOnimasuPlanetLow, OctopusTrapPlanetLow, PhantomCavePlanetLow, and SeaStormPlanetLow also all contain the 1% GP model.
SandGolem's model appears to be missing, though this could be a viewer bug...
GridPlane may be used, but it's definitely not seen anyway.
And DevilTail looks roughly the same as PoleBottom/PoleTop. That could be a clue as to where it was used...

There's this model in FlexibleSphere:

I suppose this would be to test the gravity of a non-solid planet.

And this model under IceMan:

This is an unused character, possibly a boss, that you would obviously find in an ice level.

This is the model under PigPoppo that Peardian mentioned earlier:

Camo-hog goes in for the kill!

I also found a small planet-like model a while ago too, can't find it now though. It had a tree on it, some flowers and it's own skybox.
It looked really simple in comparison to other Super Mario Galaxy planets, so it may be a pre-development level.
btw, are bloopers found in Super Mario Galaxy anywhere? Because I found one under Gesso. It may be from Super Mario Sunshine.

The camo pig may be a DKJB because models of bosses and larger enemies have separate files for body parts.

Nice finds! (Though some have already been posted here. ) That IceMan is really interesting. Does he have any animations?

SandGolem doesn't show up because his body is made of the sandblocks from the accompanying SandGolemBlock model. And yes, Bloopers can be found in Buoy Base Galaxy and Deep Dark Galaxy.

Right-o. I recieved word from gridatttack that that hog is an enemy found in the Cactus/Ghastly King area in DKJB.
IceMan has the animations angrydemo, attack, damage, deathdemo, throw, throwdouble and wait.
There's also another model under IceManIce, I missed that. It's highly probable that this model is related to IceMan.
And, which ones are repeated? I'll have them removed. Sorry for repeating them...

BathtubPlanet, PigPoppo (though you can leave that one, since I didn't post a pic), and BossBazookaTower.

That IceMan model sure is interesting. I don't remember anything like it from DKJB, so think it was meant for SMG?

Edit: Think you could get us a bigger picture of DiskFlowerPlanet? The other pics are big enough. If I weren't so tired, I'd put them up on the wiki right now, so I'll do it tomorrow.

Okay, they're removed. I hate making mistakes on a forum. ._.
The closest thing to IceMan in a game from the Donkey Kong series is Sassy Squatch, but he's not in DKJB.
Unless he's a beta remanent from DKJB, it's safe to say he was planned for SMG.
And sure, here's a bigger picture.

Thanks. Planets added.

Could you get us a picture of IceManIce? And maybe a few pics of his animations in motion? They would make great additions to the wiki.

Edit: I just realized something odd. All the planets that have the same temporary models still have different filesizes. Why do you think that is?

Edit2: Derp. How did I overlook the fact there's a SandGolemColumn? Also, you might want to look at MagicalWand if you haven't already. I'd do it myself, but this stupid laptop won't let me.

I'd have to find a program to make an animation, but here's a picture of IceManIce:

Rather bland discovery, but there it is.
About the filesize mystery, I'll compare the debugout text files and extract the textures from each for differences.
And those are interesting files there, too.
EDIT: Nothing new in the debugout text files.
Oh. Hold on! WaterTransparentPlanetLow has a smaller archive size because it doesn't include a collision file/s, as with most low resolution models. Is that what you meant? Because upon looking further, I can't find another difference between the temporary high models.

Ah, interesting. Don't worry about making an animation, I just meant getting some snapshots of his different animations.

Lack of collision version would explain the file size difference. I wonder, what would happen if someone swapped out a planet for one of these temporary high models. Would the collision version be just the small cube?

Huh... This guy managed to replace DiskGardenPlanet with DiskFlowerPlanet. This may be something of interest to us.

Pretty interesting. Swapping the gravity as well would be awesome.

I just noticed some more stuff about Megaleg. Leg3B, Leg3C, and Leg3D of his parts are all untextured, unfinished versions of what would become Foot and FootBottom. Also, he has a model for a three-beamed siren light, as opposed to the single-beam one used by the final game.

Edit: Small discovery. Model "Togezo" is identical to Uminoko, animations and all. That means it is indeed meant to be Spiny, even if a variation of.

Edit: Just checked out a couple of models, will post my discoveries tomorrow.

Two new models discovered. As I suspected, MagicalWand is indeed another unused wand model. Now that I think about it, these wands share a similar color scheme with the unused Mario costume colorset. Add in "StarWandCursor" and it makes me think there's a connection.

And one more bug.

SmallFly

I think this is the last one. There are no other models with bug names like this.

Yes, but hers is rather different and I'm sure it would have always been a part of her model instead of a separate object.

Kinoko

Did you know it means "Mushroom" in Japanese!?

Bonus Edit: The model is present in SMG2 as well.
