My account was just activated today, I'll be installing it when I get home. Its still technically Alpha testing so the NDA has not been lifted

Oh goody, another done-to-death game that I'm not going to play.

My issue with numbering online FF games is that in 20 years, I'll be able to play FF1-9 and FF12. FF11 and 14 will be lost to memory.

That said: Be sure to tell us how it is, okay? I hated 11, but loved 12, which was kind of like a good version of 11 without other people playing it. >>;

Yep. They should have used something like "Final Fantasy Online" and then "Final Fantasy Online II", and numbered the main series accordingly.

Downloaded last night, didn't get a chance to actually play. Tried to start it up tonight, no luck. Servers aren't actually up yet.

Finally got to log in last night. Didn't get to stay on very long or actually play, but I did get to make a character.

Right off the bat, I wasn't happy with the interface. It was slow and laggy. The game doesn't even go full screen. The cursor is the standard white hand pointer, but it has about a 200-300 millisecond lag from your actual movement. Once I got in game to move around for a few minutes, the input was also laggy.

Interface is very simple, didn't get to try combat out yet. No resolution or full screen settings. Hopefully they add this. Might have a little bit more time to try it out tonight.
