When General Guy shoots Momma, are those sparks or did momma crack a little?

Yea but didn't shy-guys also used to work for Wart, unless their a differnt kind of shy-guy then they must of had a revolution against him, anyway I better stop.

...anyway, all you really need to make a sprite comic is a decent drawing program (usually Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, though some people actually use MS Paint) and a collection of sprite rips (these can be found online). Draw some backgrounds, paste in the sprites, add some word balloons, done.

It's your comic. If you want to use backgrounds from a game, that's up to you. That's what most sprite comics (including mine!) do. It might not be immediately apparent, but you can think of comic panels as still frames from an animation.
There's nothing else really to it. Do what you want to do to make your comic look the way you want it to. There aren't any limitations really.

Wart never really existed. Don't forget, it was all Mario's dream. Shy-guys are native to Yoshi's island("Yoshi's Island" - SNES) and the Suy-guy's toy box(Paper Mario - N64).
The toy box is where General Guy come from. Bowser put him in charge of the shy-guys. So, thats another reason why they can't revolt.
