So it's pretty much confirmed that Isshu is based on New York City and eastern New Jersey (though with elements of areas further north [and, seemingly, south, considering the desert north of Hiun City] added in).

Also, the "low health" jingle has been turned into a full-on song which plays when you are low on health.
Guess HyperHacker's not buying this one. :V

One last thing...

First appearance of Mijumaru and Tsutaja's evolutions.
Also another new crazy-hair chick, this one seemingly exclusive to the anime.

There's also something about close-ups of characters and whatnot, possibly the rival, some green haired dude with a black cap, more camera moving around in that city (seriously, I bet all that is exclusive to there and two other places), and a robbed house similar to the one in Kanto, with other two characters one of which you fight with. Most likely an important member of the villains or a rival looking at the battle intro.

There's a video of all that (this pokemon Sunday, three hours ago), but I haven't seen it.

Most pokemons follow an animal stereotype, the lack of that in the newest mons makes me a sad panda bunny.

Though, 3vs3 battles sounds weird. I hope they implant it better then the 2vs2 battle system that only shows up very rarely at specific trainers. The best way would be that the player decides before every battle what way they want to take the opponent on, but maybe I'm asking too much here?

Also, even though they show the online thingy, I still don't get it. :/

At first I thought that green thing was a frog or something, and I wanted it. Then I saw it animated and realized it's some kind of blob creature. Now I really want it.


And I have a feeling the Egyptian Pokémon might be kind of a Spiritomb deal, or at least very very rare. I mean, how many posessed floating sarcophagi monsters out there could there be?

Puzzle League on GBA had allegro music, though...
Planet Puzzle League, though, despite having AWESOME music, doesn't. Oh well.

One thing I dont get about the Pokemon Black and white map is why is thier a harbour leading out of the main map, unless like in gold and silver...

The player comes from a far away region, so I guess it could be assumed they got by boat prior to the game and went to live two towns east.

Also, ALL games have a port, a ship you go in, and at least two islands you can go to. And then there are also the events with their islands.

I do feel like they may do something like in fire red and leaf green, where they have islands that have other generations of pokemon, or something like that since it will seem strange to have a harbor and not at least one boat to travel on.
I may be wong because I missed Ruby seris of games.
Allso do you feel like they are taking too many risks in this game, I feel like ever since the development of ruby they are expermenting too much insted of keeping that old traditional fomular that works for them.

You brought an interesting point though. They said in this region, there wouldn't be many old pokemon, similar as in Hoenn. However, Hoenn and the third gen DID bring development to old pokemon. Not so much in R/S as they were planning Kanto and Johto remakes, but Fire Red and Leaf Green were full of Johto pokemon, getting things like a forest with Heracross.
And of course, there's the Sudowoodo in the Battle Frontier. If that's not taking into consideration old fans, I don't know what is.

So besides the obvious islands that would take you (event islands, possibly Battle Frontier) it is very likely that after getting the National Dex you get to see many extra old pokemon.

And don't get me started on the side games.

The "very few old Pokémon" thing is because the new region is based on New York while all the old regions were based on parts of Japan. (Hence all the pidgeons.)


If you think about it, Gold and Silver did a lot of experimenting too. Not one but two whole leagues, three new HMs, shiny Pokémon, Pokémon breeding, radio, rematching trainers via cell phone, legendary Pokémon that ran around, two big legendary Pokémon, evolutions based on time of day and happiness, and more. It might not stand out a lot from the later generations, but that's because all of G/S's experimenting became staple elements of the later ones, more or less.

This is pretty likely, considering the track record since D/P. Whether it's through the Poké Radar, through the Pokéwalker or through random swarms, Pokémon from previous generations make an appearance in newer games.
I suspect some of them will appear through that PC-based game extension or that white multiplayer area shown in the trailer.

Have you seen the Pokemon battle animations, I know at the moment it looks promising but I know Nintendo is going to get lazy and this may result in some of my favorite pokemon getting gay animations. Who can animate 1200+ sprites without getting lazy with half of them? (with both front and back of the pokemon)
