I don't think I have a Shaymin on hand that DOESN'T have a classic ribbon attached. That seems to be the number one thing I see from a lot of people on GTS that they want for anything. ANYTHING. I mean a fucking Mantine I saw people wanting a Lv. 90+ Shaymin.

That's probably just what they have it set to so they can clone without having people actually trading for it. Shaymin is easier than Mew there because you can legitimately get Shaymin into your Pokedex (wasn't Oak's Letter even a Wi-Fi gift on Platinum?).

Today I went on a sidequest in town to find someone who don't have a password on their router so I can abuse it to download Jirachi! :3
(as, you know, the DS (lite?) only supports one type of encryption, and my dad does not use it on his router!)

WEP is basically WPA but worse and without password (it's based on a 10/16-letter hex key)

Either way I'm not changing my router from WPA to WEP just because Nintendope can't fix their fucking internet hardware.

See the great thing is, DSi supports WPA... but because they fail at designing firmware, there's no possibility to support it in DS games. (Had they built networking code into the system, it'd be no problem, but no, they had to go and build it into each game instead. Wii has the same problem even with its 512MB flash!)

WEP is almost entirely worthless (can be broken in minutes with enough traffic); the best you can do is use MAC filtering to allow only your DS, but of course MACs are easily spoofed. Thank goodness for security-unaware neighbours!

...Not that Nintendo has any online services worth connecting to anyway.

Actually I kinda like being able to battle people online with both pokemon and smash bros, not to mention I can finally get some of those event monsters as they never run those road trip events around here anymore.

Morty went like this:

Kadabra annihilates Ghastly and Haunter.
Gengar annihilates Kadabra using Shadow Ball.
Gengar annihilates Rotodile using Shadow Ball.
Gengar annihilates Geodude using Shadow Ball.
Gengar annihilates Dragonite using Shadow Ball.
Gengar nearly annihilates Vulpix using Shadow Ball.
Vulpix manages to burn and confuse Gengar.
Gengar is healed by hurpaderpa.
Gengar annihilates Vulpix.
...

The last one I had was a low-level Eevee I just finished hatching, maybe L 9-10.

The burn killed Gengar (who couldn't do anything against Normal but spam a failing Sucker Punch).

The fun lasted until the last Ghastly (Haunter?) used Curse. With only Sand Attack and Tackle, the game was over.

(I restarted and kicked his ass since I didn't forget a Revive this time... and used Kadabra's Disable after reviving, since I move faster than him)

Espeon nearly anihilates Bayleef, it sets up light screen.
Switch to Golem
Psychic hits Golem, it uses whatever it makes it go faster
Golem uses that again. Psychic nearly kills it.
Golem OHKOs Espeon
Golem OHKOs whatever she sent
Golem fails to OHKO Alakazam for some reason, it uses berry. It kills Golem with Psychic. Light screen fades.
Bayleef is too phat to set up light screen fast enough and dies.
It kills Noctowl with Psychic
It kills Ampharos with Psychic
It kills SPINESHARK with Psychic
Glaceon has a quick claw and bites it. But Glaceon also has a shitty attack and doesn't do any damage at all.
Glaceon survives Psychic for some reason.
Glaceon does another tiny super effective bite for a lack of useful ice attacks and the special defense of Alakazam
Glaceon dies.

My team really sucks and I think I should just screw it and train that Dratini and Beldum.

And now I find out that Hyper Beam is really an useful attack on a Togetic.

I need something for its other two move slots too that isn't Ancientpower. Ice Beam may work, specially with his ability giving a higher chance of a freeze... But considering how hard to get is the TM, that I want to teach it to other things, and that I have already Glaceon for Ice attacks...

Either way I am at Misty and I hate Voltorb Flip.

I just got the GB Sounds item and it sounds off on all of the songs. Even more annoying is that you don't have the option to listen to the Kanto cities in their original Red/Blue/Yellow form, they are instead played in their Glod/Silver/Crystal form which I don't care too much for.

I too pefer the Red/Blue/Yellow, but I'm grateful that they have an item to change songs in the first place.
Plus some of the original music from the first gen might kill the atmospear for this game(Cinnabar island)
