From the wobsite:
Launchy is a free windows utility designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager.

Launchy indexes the programs in your start menu and can launch your documents, project files, folders, and bookmarks with just a few keystrokes!

It... only increases my laziness even further, since I can just start typing crap and voila:

It's fast, free, and ... useful.

Lifehacker sure loves this program. Haven't used, but hopefully it doesn't lead to levels of faperation not seen since the Make: blog discovered the LED Throwie.

The difference being that Launchy actually seems to be useful.

Simplicity v1.1
Eh...I guess it's fine but I'm not used to the whole ALT+SPACE dealie. Then again I guess it'd be kinda hard for it not to be controlled without hotkeys since we use the keyboard to type things...such as this post.

I dunno. Not too convenient for me since I already have a hardwired organization. I'm sure it'll benefit a lot of other people though.

Daily Cycle II ~ 2927
I said it elsewhere, but it's easier for me to just use the mouse for things, since the keyboard->mouse time for me is under half a second, and almost every program I use anything remotely often is in the Quick Launch.

Sorry, Launchy.

I haven't used Launchy yet -- out of a reluctance to make my work machine too non-standard and thus make it harder for me to support end-users.

I use Quicksilver on the Macintosh which performs Launchy-like functionality (amongst many, many other things) and I love it. It's the first thing I install on a Macintosh.

Yeah, I just use Quick Launch. Vertical taskbar means I can fit all the crap I want in there. Also, 2 monitors means I have Calculator, Volume Control, a command prompt and a Notepad (opened to random.txt) always just sitting there on the other screen for convenience.

Neat, but I can locate anything with the keyboard faster than it can. In fact, I should make several win-key shortcuts--then I could launch applications instantly and control default actions with unnerving speed.

Either way, having used computers more than half my life, finding things on them is a piece of cake.
