If you haven't already, practice wall jumping / do wall jumping to the World Cup 2010 Theme Song

Someone suggested it in a room I was just in, it syncs with Transformice pretty well.

So, an update just came out that kills anybody who brings back the cheese in under 8 seconds, which can easily be achieved legitimately on a multitude of maps. It also came out with a few new maps that seem to be designed specifically to discourage walljumpers.

Kinda not happy about this.

Edit: Also, the standalone doesn't seem to work anymore.

Theres a new standalone that is compatible with the new maps.

The new maps were designed to discourage bug abusers and to require more effort from the shaman (effort = wit)

Well, the new standalone still doesn't work for me. Does it work for you? Looks like a new one came out, and it seems to work.

Also, I don't really mind the new maps that much, but I don't like winding up doing nothing until the timer runs out while the Shaman does nothing useful. It's nothing compared to the "8 second" thing, though.

Suppose I could be informative:

Current bugs:
- All stages that have traps or "cars" are broken.
- Anvil God no longer works, as a result of a fix to try and stop people from spawning many objects together (like 10 anvils in one spot generated a lot of lag)
- Jumping on the joints between bridges can result you falling through them.

New additions:
- Red Terrain: Lava - causes you to jump off stage (a bug allows you to walk across it unharmed, although unsure what causes this)
- Pink Terrain: Ice - Cannot wall jump on this, moveable terrain.
- Dark Brown Terrain: Swamp - slow movement, shorter jump distance, easy wall climbing.
- Green Terrain: Grass - ??
- Purple Terrain: Rubber - Trampoline, hilarious in one level where you're in a box of purple terrain.

- Shamans now have individual text and now shows both shamans on the top of the client.
- Stages have shamans removed (upside down stages, simple stages)
- 16 new maps.

Bug fixes:
- Mice who complete the stage in under 8 seconds are killed and rewarded no cheese.
- You can no longer stack objects in large amounts (eventually they will break and just be individual objects not connected)
- Increased the time for being killed due to inactivity (since some stages don't need you to do anything until the shaman sets up).

That's all people have said in the french server / I've noticed. No idea what the green floors do, only seen it in one stage and we all died before we touched it.

It's not much of a bug... sorta. The idea behind it is to walk slowly on it, like firewalkers do in real life. However, once you're on it after walking slowly onto it, you're free to walk as fast as you want.

Another thing I noticed was that you can jump after hitting it to help control yourself while airborne.

I actually like the recent changes, although some of the newer stages are a bit insane (the rotating big board with no floor under it). I've had a lot of fun doing some of the newer ones than I have on the old maps.

Actually, the anvil god still lives... sometimes. I've been to the anvil god level twice since the fix and one time he failed to connect, while he connected the other time. It'll likely get "fixed" for real in a future update. While they were changing the object linking system they probably fucked up some room_init code or something so that it only spawns one peg much of the time.

Creating your own anvil gods is still possible, though they're a lot more prone to disappearing instead of flipping out like usual.

Double post, new additions;

Current Bugs:
- Pegs currently do not connect to each other for making a solid object (square, cars are also broken)
- Anvil God can attack through the ground and gets stuck, so no one can complete the level.

New Additions:
- Portals. Designed to stop stages with 2 shamans for shamans to ruin the game for mice who can't get to their hole.
- If you reach the hole with cheese in less than 2 seconds you die.
- Wall jump distance shortened.
- New titles - Ratatouille, Saviour.
- Improved ban system, based on the number of ban requests within 10 seconds, in order to stop people logging on other accounts and /baning people.

I'm not sure how the portals will work. I'll have to give it a whirl later to see what that's all about. I hope they don't mean they're trying to combat blocking doors with a box and board combo.

No, it's more or less to stop jealous shamans who are alive from ruining the stage for others, and also makes some stages faster when "greedy" mice go to fast (like level's with the see-saw bridges, tilting floors, etc)
