Under what range does the population of your home metropolitan area fall?
Entire metro area, not just the city. So if you live in a 10k suburb adjacent to a 2M city, go with the 2M population.

I'm curious about how big your home is. Please vote for the option that represents your entire metropolitan area if you live in one, including city and suburbs. If you don't know it, try these links:
World's largest
USA
Canada
Europe

I live currently in the Seattle area, which has a population of about 3.4 million people. Although I grew up mostly in a village of ~1000 and also briefly in the Buffalo and NYC metro areas, so I've been all over the population spectrum

I live pretty close to Washington, D.C. so I voted 1-10 million...

but it's strange to categorize people by the nearest big city as opposed to where you actually live. I guess we've had polls here before about rural/suburban/urban and that makes a bit more sense to me?

Basically when people ask this question I think more about "how big is the city you live in" which has an obvious answer in that I don't live in a city.

10 to 100k. Live in PR and the entire island's population doesn't surpass 8 million. My area is pretty small. Maybe around 40-50k in population.

Question. How near is near? I live in a 'town' that according to the Pop. sign was around the higher 800s, and doubt that (once the census gives a new Pop. count for this year) it's going to hit 1k or more. However, a 20-25 minute drive away is a city of somewhere between 5k and 10k, 11k maybe (don't remember how much even though I should). Then there's another one some minutes further in a different direction (read: ~30, 35 from start, a lot more from the other city) that I remember seeing the Pop. sign at something like 55,535. But do I even count one of them? According to you, which way should I go with that vote?

I live in the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area. I live in Palm Bay, which has the most people living there(And the city land is shaped like a watering can). We have about 500k living within this region.

I live in Snohomish county, which is part of the Seattle metropolitan area. I have to say, it doesn't feel very metropolitan here in Lund's Gulch.

Most of the year I'm living in Gainesville which has a metropolitan population of about 258.5k people.

The rest of the time I live right outside of Jacksonville which has a metro population of over 1,313,000, making it the most populous city in Florida and the 13th most populous city in the US. Area-wise, it's also the single largest city in the US, beating out even New York City (although NYC is much more densely populated).

Now that I moved out into the nowhere, there is no metropolitan area here.

The city I live in has eight thousand residents. That's it.

Hmm, Durham doesn't appear to be listed on Europe...

If I had to guess, over 1K at least.

I live close to Dundee in Scotland, so the population for me is about 190k. It really doesn't feel like it though.

My hometown is actually a small city on the border of a big one, so it's around 20,000 next to a city of 4 million.

Of course, the borders between them run through streets, so you'd never know they were separate.
