| As we all know some movies, even if we may consider good or nice, they get negative reception for whatever reason. It may have been happened to you, i think. I got this question since i visited wikipedia, looked for articles about movies and read informations about the reception.
Well, since my favorite kind of movie is fantasy and animation (especially animation, since i attend a school where i learn the basics of it)... An early movie i liked but got a crappy reception was Planet 51: the movie talks about a human going in a planet he believed uninhabited, he's considered as a dangeroud extraterrestrial. Someone considered this movie as E.T. reverse. "Rotten Tomatoes" is a website who gave a bad review of Planet 51, many of the reviewers considered it as "unfunny and silly", but after i watched this movie, it didn't give a bad impression at all. Certanely is not the most original movie, not the best animation, but i was pretty satisfied, no matter what "Rotten Tomatoes" says. Another one was Hook, an old movie based on Peter Pan. Yes, not the best movie i have ever seen, but it got really bad reviews and low rankings. I actually think what makes a movie really bad is putting random nonsense like in Home Alone 3 (imo even 1 and 2), which doesn't inspirate anything at all to me. Another thing that makes a movie bad is poor quality of scenography or, in the case of animation, yes, the animation itself. Just give a look to Video Brinquedo. Another thing that makes a movie bad is... the element: if in Tom & Jerry: the movie, the duo would have been replaced with other characters, i think it would have been better. Though, those are only my opinions. ____________________ My current target: Cody form Disney Down Under |
