It wasn't so much that the E3 thread was sticky as that a few other threads were made sticky around the same time, putting a total of 9 sticky threads in Gaming, which Xkeeper and I thought was too many stickies for 1 forum.

The E3 thread, IIRC, was only active for a short time during E3, and thus wasn't likely to get buried during that brief time window. This thread will be (a) relevant for several months this year as the hurricane season continues, and (b) likely to have lulls in activity between storms. New threads are created in this forum relatively frequently, and it has been more active lately than it once was, so this thread may be buried.

Therefore, I'd say to leave this thread sticky, although unstickying it really wouldn't be a big deal either as people could find it again As long as users don't, for instance, make a separate thread for every hurricane while this thread exists, we should be fine either way.

Well, those threads, again, often get many days in a row with no posts, then something relevant comes up and they get a post. Having them sticky makes them easy to find.

However, if too many threads are sticky, 2 things happen. First, threads can be lost within the list of stickies itself. Second, it becomes necessary to scroll down a lot to reach new non-sticky threads. I'd say that having more than 6-7 stickies in a forum gets unwieldy.
