"A horrible person". That's what it says. "A horrible person."

We weren't even testing for that.

Since we seem to be concentrating on Mario games at first (which kinda makes sense), I'm posting here some Mario games which we don't have and from which I've heard there's unused content:

* Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
* VB Mario Tennis
* Hotel Mario
* (I know it's not really a Mario game but anyway) Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3

There may be more, actually I'm pretty sure there are more, but I don't know. As always, more can be suggested.

We already know that TYD has a good deal of unused character textures, including a monster based on the old Love Tester toy that Nintendo made, as well as all the original PM partners (Bow managed to make an appearance in the final version). I've also heard that all the text in the game is stored in a very plain format, so someone could very easily scan through for unused dialog. Of course, Mario Wiki and TMK have most of this already...

Coincidentally, I just found some interesting unused content for Wario Land yesterday. Stay tuned.

Wario Land is more of a Mario game than Hotel Mario ever was.

I was just thinking about Wario Land and if it had unused stuff. Looking forward to it.

It might be a good idea to use YY-CHR and select a tile layout that makes sense, e.g. arranges the blocks. Those are in AB/CD format and making them actually show up in 2x2 squares would be ridiculously simple (I'd do it myself but YY-CHR hates copy-paste)

Guess what? This inspired me to poke around in some Wario games. After being frustrated by compression and finding nothing, I decided to poke around with VBA's Tile Viewer. And guess what I found?

Wario Land 4's boss doors originally opened instead of sliding upwards. Oh yeah, and alternate door palette for each.

The blocks. Notice the way the blocks are laid out; it's trivial to arrange them (YYCHR even has an option for it)

Yeah, see? Much easier to see the differences with them lined up right.

Thanks.

I ripped the rest of the doors. Edit: I've collected the alt palettes for the doors. Funny how the one I didn't check at first turned out to be the most different!

Also, does anybody remember when/where the Frog Switch uses this face? (Assembled the body for demonstration.) It is the last tile loaded before the enemy tiles.

I don't remember it, so unless anyone else does it's safe to say it's unused.

Ah, thanks. Both added, then!

Also, can anyone figure out what the characters in this name mean? I know it's gibberish, but I'm just curious.

Possibly supposed to be displayed with different tiles? Or just garbage, possibly compressed, hence repetition.

I think it is using a bad pointer for the level name text. But that's just me.

I love you. The Bobo thing looks like it could have come from the scrapped location Fork Tree (which is still mentioned in the instruction book along with at least another unused area) which is....awesome
