That was the main point of this thread *shot*

The smurfs were great... they will get ruined by this!
I don't consider myself a cultured guy, but if directors are still going to make crap like this, of culture will remain none.
I don't say "put all culture into media", some laughs are permitted, imo, but put at least some contents!
I actually don't know how people could have enjoyed Alice in Wonderland (2010), imo, another crap.

This is definitely not 80s generation of kids. For younger ones, say 5-8, it may have been ok because they'll watch just about anything animated. You don't see many classic cartoons on at prime time slots for kids (saturday mornings, etc). They like technology and futuristic things, its just the era we're in. Like they had Generation-X, this is Generation-Tech.
