Doing some finishing touches in Red Dead Redemption. Finished it two weeks ago but I'm playing the DLC at the moment. Also trying to do the challenges.

For the wii, same old, Galaxy 2 and NSMBWii. Trying to get into Lego Indiana Jones 2 and Lego Harry Potter as well. Playing the latter three with my fiancée.

I'm still at it with SMG 2, however I started playing this old SNES game called Secret of Mana (Seiken Densetsu 2),
and I think it's awesome. I was quite young when all those good 16-bit RPGs came out so I've missed them all.

What I've been playing recently, though:
- Monster Hunter Tri (3): Been playing this offline, but I'll need some incentive to be convinced to play Online (although there is a small chance I'll do it on my own, but...). No really, what's the point if I have to play random people nearly every time (and get insulted)? I'd rather not. Also I decided to let my nephew play it and he went online before even trying to do the first offline quest? WHY.
- Ragnarok DS: If you know how this version of the game works, then you can probably guess what it is I'm trying to get done. Last few quests via party members of each class & getting my stat points up from Limit Breaks. Simple process, just time consuming is all. On that note however, who else plays this game?
- Transformice: EVERYBODY'S DOING IT (and by it I mean jumping onto that one bridge)

- Ys III: Took a shot at this from where I was at yesterday, went from halfway through the game to the end but can't seem to kill the final boss. Strange. When I beat this game years ago (with savestates) I found that boss easy but not so much the boss preceding him, but this time the opposite is true. Many years before that when I actually owned the cartridge I never did get past the dragon boss, but that one is so easy now, just don't fucking touch it. :/ Tips for the last boss that don't involve me trying to attack its core without taking damage (and end up taking damage without hitting anything)?

Classic arcade games (1978~1990), mainly thanks to MAME, which I recently got working on here. Some of the ones I've been playing a lot are Tempest, Crystal Castles, Asteroids (incl. Asteroids Deluxe and Space Duel), Defender (original and Defender II), and Joust (but I suck at that one... =/)

When in town today, saw Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days for the PSP for only £19.99, even though I never really completed the first one, bought it and have been having a blast so far. Is it a bad thing that my highest level character (by 40, I might add) happens to be an acolyte?

I'm surprised people play this. It was annoying as hell to work with during the translation phase (the people I worked with never understood all the barriers within the ROM and some of our key translators gave up over frustration). Still prefer the PC version over it, but it's nice to get a few kicks out of. Just checking now, my party is a 99 Dark Knight, 97 Priest and 99 Wizard. Should really do the party-tower quest again sometime just to have the perfect 99-group.

I remember playing the (incomplete) Translated version...You were one of the people working on it, huh? Unless that's not true, good for you, nice work. Pity that the official translation is crap in some places (Poison Spore's card effect: Poison Effect. ...? Sounds like you get poisoned by using it...) (YOU GOT A "Baphomet Jr."! ...card.)

Now honestly I have tried to play the PC version of the game. But there's something about it I'm not fond of. Large amounts of EXP required to get anywhere in life? Large overworld that I may have trouble navigating? Other players? Dunno what it was that made me not like it. Whatever the cause, it just didn't bode well with my attitude and I never went more than a couple of logins on any one attempt to play the game. Then this DS version came along...and here I am, several LBs in and targetting 100% quest completion. I've even used each Job Class at least once so I have a bit of an understanding how they work. (That being said, the AI is a retard. Spamming Southeast Wind? Faggotry. Using Sanctuary while I'm fighting Raydric Archers? Urgh. Spending the first eight skill points of your second job on an utterly useless skill? WHY) ...?Ok, now I'm curious. Just how different these jobs are from their PC counterparts?

A last note, this one on Monster Hunter Tri: how am I supposed to easily (easily) know what to do and where to go for collecting materials / why can't I just know when things are going to unlock for me / when am I going to get rare trade goods already / where's my goddamn Armor Comparison Guidebook? (you know what I mean)

No idea if you can view this, but that was the first spreadsheet we used, with all the basic information (char limits per description so the rom wouldn't crash, verifications, links to all scripts / item databases, etc). It's been such a long time though.

Trying to reach level 99/100 (not sure which is max) on M&L: PiT.
It's actually fairly easy, and even in the 70s I get 1-2 levels a run through Peach's Castle in the past. Funny thing is the babies' POW/DEF is starting to exceed the adults'. Mainly due to the adults gaining 4-6 HP and 1 POW/SPD/DEF while the babies gain 1(!) HP and 2 POW/DEF and 4-6 SPD. They're about 2x as fast as anything in the game by now
