| I have good and bad news...
The good news is that the progress on the editor is going quite well, specially on the ds version of the editor (no, i havent forgotten about it) Now all objects display properly, including pipes. Question and brick blocks show an that shows its contents. You can select objects and move them. I want to finish it before summer, so... The bad news is that i just broke my DS... I ordered a replacement case for it (broken hinge) which arrived today. I started to disassemble it and reassemble it, but i broke the ribbon cable that connects the motherboard to the upper screen. So... You can imagine what happens now when you turn it on... I'll try to have it repaired tomorrow... |

| That sucks :/
dude...why didn't you just bring it to a Nintendo Repair center? My hinge broke was well (DSLite). It wasn't under warranty. They tried to fix it, couldn't and gave me a new one. |

| No...
It wasn't on guarantee, and I didnt have any proof that i bought it. A friend bought it on the US (i'm from Spain) and after, he gave it to me... I doubt they'd have fixed it... Plus, i wanted to change its look... A new cool-looking case was perfect for me. |

| Whoa....
I went to a repair shop. The guy there sold me an upper lcd (the cable is attached to the lcd), which was 19€ (not very expensive). I took it home and broke the cable again Even though i was VERY VERY CAREFUL with it...
Then i came back to the shop... The guy sold me another one. He told me that the 3rd one would be 10€ (lol) but luckily i didnt need even another one. OMG, how was I supposed to know that that cable was SOOOO delicate????? I have assembled everything back. And now the touch screen doesnt work properly. You guys should NEVER EVER try to disassemble and successfully reassemble an NDS. It's VERY LIKELY to break sth. |

| Yay. I finally got my nds working perfectly...
Back on topic. Two new features on the new editor: - Import / Export the whole tilesets (gfx, map16, objects, behaviors) to a single file, to make collab hacks easier - Put an image as BG on the editor. That way you can put an image like this and remake the level on top of it. Makes making remakes easier. |

| Yay.
More progress on the ds port of the editor: <object width="480" height="385"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/A8A1ACQe8oo&hl=es_ES&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> Now you can select objects and move them... BTW, the editor won't have "edition modes" like the computer version: you'll be able to edit entrances, objects, sprites, and so without having to switch modes. |

@Dirbaio:
Little suggestion for the background feature (the one made for remakes...)... Could you make the image dragabble? Alot of images I have aren't done on an exact 16x16 grid, so that will make it hard to remake the levels I want without editing with Paint or something every image... Thanks... Also, what is the search thingy for in r97? (the one under the language selector... ![]() ____________________ GO WINDOWS 3.11!!!! |

| Yeah... I thought about it too... It will be implemented soon...
That search is full of fail. Don't try to use it
It was meant to search values across the game's RAM, but i never got it to work and then i realized it was useless. It will be taken out before release ![]() |

| Hmmm....
I've been thinking about remaking the window-based interface. Too many windows just clutter up the taskbar and are impractical. What do you think about this? Is it OK or is it worse than having multiple windows? http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/5951/nsmbescr.jpg It's a MDI (Multiple Display Interface), like the ones in M$ Offic€... You can either have all the windows maximized and switch through the Window menu, or have them "inside" the main window, where you can resize them freely. I've been also thinking of a "tabbed" interface, but it forces you to have just one window on screen, which mught be fine for small screens, but useless and limiting for large screens. Please give your opinions... EDIT: Also, the minimap on the bottom left corner is new. No more floating windows ![]() |
