I'm going to remain skeptical about these two games until they are released.

I have both of them for N64, and both were very good, though in order for me to shoot and execute maneuvers very quickly I had to develop a certain finger position that I doubt would work on the 3DS.

I find it ironic that I bought both of these games for the virtual console because I didn't have the n64 karts, but then, *boop* here they are on the 3DS.

Mine works. All I had to do was set it up, close the emulator, re-open it and then start a game. I was playing Spirit Tracks.

As for these remakes, I would love to see them not only remake these, but add new stuff to them--since otherwise, I can always consult my memories of playing them.

Same with any new gadget these days. Almost as soon as you get it home and un-box it, theres a new one being manufactured and on the shelves tomorrow.

In all reality, Nintendo already has people thinking up the next hand held portable gaming device they'll make.

I was kinda expecting this, in fact I hope the lite/DSi will drop in price once the 3DS is out so I can get another one. (Freaking shoulder buttons is broken on my lite unit.)

That's actually common on lites, but not on the old DSes or DSi's. My Lite's L and R buttons crapped out too.
