Foxes make terrible pets. But some people can "Tame" them. Foxes can't really be tamed. Unless you get a Russian one. Those are basically the same thing but at least they are not running on instinct. They are like dogs.

These little guys are not really that expensive (Sold at an Exotic Pet store for about 50 dollars for males. 200 for females). But the good thing is that they eat minute amounts of food (Pellets and millworms) which are also cheap. They clean themselves.
The (Not really) downside to owning these pets is that you have to own more than one. If you only have one, you better damn well be sure you give it constant attention. You can buy a little pouch that you can wear around the house (Or a hoodie) and he will bond with you through that. Buy a friend for him? You -could- spend less times with him, but it's also double the fun having two of these little can of worms run around your body.
Slow lorises are also adorable, but I'm not sure if its actually legal to have one of the guys. Also, they secret a toxin on the inside of their elbows.

Now, you hear this guy and you may be thinking he is pissed off. His screaming is his little happy sound. Like what Foxes do. When Fennic foxes are angry they either bite of give off a huffing sound. Kinda like a real Fox.
That looks like the little fox in Naussicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
Dunno if I could deal with it bouncing and being so... happy...
