I sometimes use red felt-tip pens and then think I'm bleeding when I glance at my hands because they'll ALWAYS (somehow) get ink on them

Yep, I do that too. It's like I have a higher threshold of pain tolerance, especially relative to when I was much younger and everything hurt like hell. Especially if it's my fingers that were cut, I'll look down and say "Hey, since when was that finger bleeding?".

Just about any spice, really. But it's true, it starts to hurt the moment you realize it's there... brains are crazy.

This used to happen just about any time I'd work on a computer. I'd suddenly notice a spot of blood on something. Doesn't seem to happen anymore. Guess I got less clumsy?

My bar just got a new door guy on Wednesday. First night on the job and after close as he's stocking bottles, one breaks and gashes his thumb open.

It kept bleeding, so we convinced him to go to the hospital. Found out he cut an artery.

I sometimes get small scratches that I have no clue how they got there. There is also the bleeding sock thing. Cut yourself, don't notice then see a bloody sock and go 'wtf'.

Same. I'm like "Wait, where did this come from?".

Apparently I got a big nasty scab on my knee when I was 3 or so, but I don't remember how it happened. The spot was marked by a red dot for years, and there's still a barely visible darker spot there.

In all seriousness, the same thing will happen to me. I'll find a cut and wonder, "how did that happen?" At least at first, then the though turns to, "will this make a good scar?" So then I go about picking the scab, if the answer to that was yes.

I don't want scars

My skin tends to peel around my fingertips, so I clip the peeled parts off with nail clippers, which might be making it worse sometimes. But the peelling bugs me so much.
