Um, what just happened? Its like a necro thread with a new thread combined? So yeah, over 10,000 threads have been created but only 9921 remain. That means over 80 threads have been stupid enough for deletion.

More like I wasn't in the mood to make threads (or post much) for a few days, then I threw out some thread ideas and was like "Hey, we're almost at 10000 threads"

I knew we were in the 9900s but I was surprised at how fast we had approached 10000 in the past few days.

I saw it at 9988 yesterday, but didn't really notice before that ... and I looked at 10000, saw the errors at the top (the thread didn't exist), and went back before seeing there were posts


And yeah, that's really nothing new, it's been done more than once before

I know I1 got well into the 30000s. It was quite a ways past 10000 before I joined.

I remember old Proboards using like 10-digit thread IDs, like they used the same ID system for all Proboards and started at some high number.

HH, that might be spot-on, actually. The billionth Unix second was sometime in 2001, wasn't it? I remember a Proboard I frequented in mid-2002 having thread IDs a bit over a billion.

Proboards also didn't use user IDs, but rather your initial username. I'm active over at Project Aon and although my display name is now Taryn, my profile URL still has "interrankitten", a short-lived name I used in 2007.

I never used a proboard. Just EZboard a long time ago, vBulletin, ACMLM and TBB. I don't get around much.
