Taking TRS's advice, I decided to just make one thread for all future art. However I really want to show off this:

<object width="640" height="385" title="Watch in HD if you can!"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RjrfAKcZp7E&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

My first animated short I made all by myself. 4 Months, with classes with 8-12 hour days. I still plan on refining quite a bit of the animation, but for now, here it is.

I would really apprecite everyone's thoughts on it, it was this forum that kept me sane on the longer days.

Loved it. There's a lot of charm that comes with it, and I'm really liking the animation, although the eggs don't move as fluidly as I'd hoped... But that's a fairly small detail.

Oh, and I did lol a bit.

I agree with the eggs not moving too fluidly, though it kinda reminded me of those Pixar shorts with the charm!

I'm glad you like it guys. Just curious though, do you mean the eggs in the bowl or in his hand?

On a side note, I also had to make a dvd cover for my demo reel, so I might as well post that too.

Eggs in his hand, I guess--when they fly off and do all that cute stuff.

The DVD cover's nice, but there's too many screens on the back. There's also a lot of nothing towards the bottom, might as well crop that out or something. :x

zOMG great! Really, what school do you attend? Something like "School of Comics" or whatever? Movements are not that real, but we can't pretend anything of like Pixar animation.

Of course it can't compare to pixar, I am still learning after all. (Pixar also has lots of cool rendering toys like renderman. ) I went to the College of the North Alantic Media Arts Center - Digital Animation program. (What a mouthful.)

As for the dvd cover, the large space at the top and bottom is chopped off in the printed version, I just never made a version that reflects that in image form. Sorry about that.

Very nice! It made me laugh a bit, it really does have the cleverness of a professional cartoon.

Pretty nice and charming, with the eggs' movements being the only thing that stands out to me as flawed. The moment that sticks out for me the most is when the egg is bouncing around the room. It doesn't seem to be going fast enough for the blur it has, and it seems to slow down a bit as it reaches the pan.

Nice job with rigging the character, by the way.

I was also reminded of the Pixar shorts. It just has that same kind of charisma to it.
Your next animation should feature that ice cream cone bunny.
