I keep on hearing a vast opinion that US gets knocked out pretty early.

Which wouldn't surprise me...when have we ever done exceptionally well in a World Cup?

Nice match, almost fully end-to-end football. Green's career is almost certainly over, Capello won't spare him and the Sun will have a field day. Even overall, the English side was quite lacklustre. You know, with Heskey, Crouch and Wright-Phillips.

Up today, Germany v. Australia.

I'm not bothering to watch the World Cup, but it has nothing to do with my nationality.

On a different note, soccer hooligans fuck everything up every time. It's a wonder they still have live audiences sometimes.

Watched the England-USA match yesterday. Great bit of luck with the goal, but then again, a little bit of luck against with the deflected shot off the post.

Either way, Howard was most definitely the most important player on the pitch in that game. And to stay in and do that well after that nasty shot to the ribs? Awesome.

I'm just kinda peeved that the next game isn't until Friday. And it's at 9:30am local time.

OK, so with a win the US is in and a loss they're out.

If we draw, we need England to lose or draw (and not score 2 more goals than us).

By the way, what happens if we draw with Algeria 0-0 and England draws with Slovenia 2-2? The US and England would have the same record, same goal differential, and same goals scored. What's the next tie breaker?
