| Most of it stemmed from having a real reason to keep playing. If I hadn't had competition back then, I don't think I would have had nearly as many hours sunk into it. |

I found all my old GB pokemon cartridges. Blue, Red, Yellow, Silver, Gold and Crystal all still work and have their saves intact. My level 73 Blastoise from Blue still exists! ____________________  |

Nah, my Crystal cart's battery died a few years ago as well at the same time my silver cart did pretty much. But then, I don't think I'd plugged in either cart in a good five years or so. 
I know most of my Pokemon carts ended up with 100+ hours on them, however. |

06-24-10 11:42:40 AM Post #3426 I actually had a Yellow cart whose battery lasted longer than Silver's. I transplanted the battery from Yellow to Silver and now it's dead too. Those clocks really seem to suck the juice. ____________________ why not? |

My Crystal's battery is still working, AFAIK... but my Red battery died in like, 2006... Blue is still working, too =)
RSE only use the battery for the internal clock (no built-in clock on the GBA, remember), so if that battery dies, you can still save and play the game, but you lose stuff like the lottery and the ability to grow berries. =/ ____________________ YouTube • DeviantArt • The Left Mouse Button |
