The little band that could

This band owns. But the main thing that turns me off about this band is the promise that they will make their next album. Which after several years never shown up. It pulls a Duke Nukem Forever. They offered hundreds of new songs from their offical website but yet nothing comes up.
I love this band and all. But fuck them for not keeping their promise. The metalheads could use more Wintersun. ____________________ __________________________________

I know that's one of the better pieces from them that I've heard though. Then again, everything from the EU sounds about the same for the music in this genre, it's just the vocals behind it that are unique. |

I really, really like the way Metal is going nowadays. Especally symphony metal as it stands today, it's great to listen to.
But yeah, at least Ensiferum still exists today. They are basically the same band. But with a different story. Ensiferum is all about vikings, magic and shit. Wintersun is about the cold, timeless, and harsh / hellish environments of the winter.
It just works if you listen to the music. Also, the vocals are outstanding. One minute they are screaming their heads off and the next it's a full blown metal Opera.
Wintersun reached out to a shitload of people. And was also 'That one band' that a lot of metalheads did not know about when they first showed up. But to those that did, it was like bragging rights. ____________________ __________________________________

Ah, I looked at the wrong page, only 2 of the guys actually write the stuff!
This stuff is nothing short of amazing, I'm really liking it!
