I'm curious if anyone else now lives very far from where they were born

I was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, USA, a suburb of Detroit, and now live in Seattle, Washington, USA. The distance is 1935 miles or 3114 kilometres.

I was born in the hospital one town over. Don't really understand how I wasn't born in the hospital in my town, which is less than a mile away.

Depends on what you mean.

Less than ten minutes away if you mean first home, but about a half hour or so at most if you mean hospital (which was in Philadelphia).
