I thought nobody else cared about this anymore so I stopped talking about stuff.

Just caught Ho-oh last time I played. Will go for no reason to the whirl islands before E4 and capture Entei. Then I'll go to Victory Road.

I wondering if I should train the Extremespeed Dratini at all, or keep it for ~~White~~Black. It's modest, meaning that it can't make good use of the high attack Dratini has, but can be a valuable elemental attacker, and who knows how will the metagame change.
I wasn't able to obtain a Beldung with Zen Headbutt nor a Bounce Magikarp though, otherwise I'd train those.

Current team:
Bayleef - Trying for something defensive with Solarbeam. Light Screen is already there, though seeing how it doesn't work I'm considering putting Reflect as well. Aromatherapy in indispensable too.
Noctowl - I don't know where am I going with this. So far, it has Take Down, which does a pretty good job for an unexcepted Normal STAB and cause considerable damage. I use it to fly around, though I guess I can replace that with Sky Attack temporarily. It also has reflect.
Golem - Earthquake/Magnitude work well most of the time. I need a better Rock move than Rollout. There's also Rock Smash for things that don't get killed by either.
Togetic - My anything goes. I could teach explosion (if it learnt it) to this thing and it'd still work
Glaceon - Ice Stab with good stats. That's all there's to it. Focus band on it would work well.
Ampharos - Electricity. Doesn't Thunder benefit from hail too?
Ariados - I'd teach it nightmare along toxic, setting up swapping damage and other for of indirect damage also would work.

The problem with Poison is that it simply sucks. Only good against Grass, which already has weak defense, while bad against about as many things as Ice.

I should pick up Crystal too, I got lost somewhere in Saffron...

This summer a friend and I are gonna have a "Poke-Off," basically a competition where we blast through the game as quick as possible, with points awarded after each Gym Leader, the Elite Four, and in fights every two hours. However, because this game is so damn grindy with no good places for EXP, we're playing at 2x EXP and 4x EV the entire time. Should be pretty damn fun, actually.

I was able to take it down in 10 days half-assed...I'm pretty sure you could make a run in a day or so with those rates.

Yea...unless you have ice or rock moves that will pummel all of Lance's pokes, don't expect it to be an easy fight. 3 Dragonites instead of 2 Dragonair and 1 Dragonite (like in the original G/S) is a bit retarded.

Rhydon was the key to my victory when I won the first time. Beat them all at L41-42 (with quite a bit of item use).

Eesh...you've got some evening for the level on that team. Unless that Ursaring gets Thunderpunch/Ice Punch (which I doubt you have access to) that's a pretty hard team to throw up against Lance's. Even traded, a Golem would still have a tough time fighting against a Gyarados and suffer a one-hit KO because of its speed.

Might consider training something up temporarily for the occasion. You might consider that surfing Pikachu if you find a Light Ball. If you're faster, you'll take out Gyarados with a Thunderbolt easy. If you don't want to do that, consider getting something like a Magneton on your team.

Nah, that's okay. I'd rather do this with my own team. And considering how I handled Clair, Gyarados is the only main problem for me. Oh, and Pikachu is only around 15.

Ten days of play is quite a bit.

I beat Pokemon Red in around ten hours, so maybe 15-20 hours for all 16 Gyms/Elite Four 2.0 is what we're looking for. And we both have Supercard DSONEi flashcards, so cheat support built in yay.
