Chin Hua solar glass generates electricity, lets (most of) the sun shine in

With some more development, they can probably bump up the watts. Imagine these replacing the all glass high-rises here in Vegas or the business buildings in other cities. It wouldn't be enough to power the whole building, but it would help reduce the draw from the power lines. Power companies wouldn't like it, but screw them. They charge so much already.

I actually love the advancement of technology to the point where we are using hydrogen as fuel and using light as electricity. It's fascinating.

Huh, neat. But I'd be a bit worried about longevity. The way I understand it is current solar panels only last so many years, something like 10 I think. Most people keep their windows until they break, really, which could be decades or at least a century.

I thought maybe this was some Microsoft Windows-related thing at first from the title

This is awesome though. I've long been a proponent of non-fossil-fuel energy. I passed a wind farm in Montana yesterday.

And yeah, even if solar power doesn't provide all electricity, it'll still help when combined with other sources of electricity.
