We're getting Flash on iPhone one way or another

Haha, I love tech wars. Like the update vs update with iTunes and the Palm Pre.

Adobe really sucks... they'll probably be gone in a few years, if it weren't for Photoshop and Illustrator (even then, there's better alternatives to those programs, such as Paint.net and Inkscape...)

Just face it, Flash is doomed... HTML5 can run on just about anything, even something like a clunky Pentium II... and same goes for Acrobat (since there's other PDF readers now, such as FoxIt and Sumatra. =D)

And they make you download bloaty plugins just to view some websites... HTML5 doesn't need a plugin, and I'd rather view my PDFs in Sumatra since I don't really need to view them in my browser. =/

Don't they realize they're just providing existing ad people a way to slowly wean themselves of Flash entirely?

"Yeah, we'll convert our stuff--oh wait, we can do more with this HTML5 thing, well, thanks Adobe, but now that we've had this extra time to help slowly convert stuff, we're moving to HTML5."

Good for you, Adobe! Though Flash will be inferior in a few years, they're still spreading their rein while it lasts. HTML5 will dominate, but that's in the horizon. Here with us now, however, is flash. If this workaround could work with sites like Megavideo or Newgrounds, then thank you Adobe.

A bad company saying screw you to another bad company by doing what the other bad company likes which is actually a good thing for web standards.

This doesn't compute in any way. But I do like how they show that you can easily port flash stuffs to HTML 5.

Yeah, being done on the fly. Pretty amazing. Flash will still be around for a while, especially with 10.1 being made for Android 2.1 and 2.2 mobile devices. Social City on my future EVO 4G! Yay!

Paulguy's Post configuration
I don't know if I misinterpreted or what but it seems they mostly intend to use it for porting ads, so who knows how complete it is or how available it will be outside of this use.
