Well, to get away from the OOT in "Screenshots", thought I would make this.

Currently I have

- Dr. Rob -- You know what, Ill stick with the Good stuff

- Puyo Puyo Tsu
- Super Puyo Puyo 2

I want to get my hands on Puyo Pop Fever. (Thought there would be a PC version out there if you know what I mean.) The videos I have seen make me want to rip some face at it.

Either that, or attempt to hack it.

*Drools* I want it so bad.

It's on the Gamecube for both Fever and Fever 2. I should've considered getting 2 since Fever is one of the two games I have on the paperweight Gamecube that I have (the other being Metroid Prime).

I can't very well call myself a master at any of them...but I don't mind kicking some butt occasionally in Tsuu. Nazo Puyo is also highly underrated...I just wish AGTP would finally get some of their SNES translation promises fulfilled.

The only Puyo Puyo game I've ever played was Kirby's Avalanche. The posted video utterly confuses me.

This is pretty much the majority of people that have picked up the SNES and played the series.

You'd probably do yourself well to pick up Super Puyo Puyo 2...if only for the fact that there is ACTUAL COUNTERING in 2...whereas Puyo Puyo (i.e. Kirby's Avalanche...mostly a clean ripoff) does not have this. If you're to win in Puyo Puyo/KA...you pretty much have to be the first to set up a 6- or 7-chain. That's about all the skill necessary to be good there.

Actually there is a PC version out there, even with included netplay. I have that game.
The bad thing is, the game is available in Japan only and you need a valid serial number and a password (not sure about that one) for multiplayer games. So if you want to get it via the "usual" ways, forget about multiplayer via the internet.

I also noticed, the difficulty level in PPF for PC is lower than in the GBA version. So you can beat that version on Very Hard easier than on your handheld.
The graphics are the same from the Gamecube, except there is no fancy 3D effect when clearing the screen in Fever Mode.

Sadly, only PPF1 got ported to PC. I would like to try the second part some time ...

Puyo Puyo Fever has real fun gameplay, but I am not a fan of both the art style used or the "new" main character. Arle is just too classic to change.

Daily Cycle II ~ 2874

This alone basically gives Arle bonus points

Actually it does, which is why that version of the Puyo Puyo series rocked the entire series. (I think the first one does as well)

Ranko, I might play you one of these days. Just PM me or something or set a date, I have not played in awhile though.

Also, how did you get that screenshot of PPF on the Screenshot thread?

Oh yeah, and I -might- get the imported DS version, just because its online.

Edit- And Arle is jawsome.

Europe got 4 versions (PS2 Xbox GBA PSP) of the first Fever that USA didn't. However, Fever 2 and 15th Anniversary don't have an English mode. I'm unsure of their menu navigation due to it.

Should try netplay on one of the Puyo games sometime.

I'd be similar, haven't played in a long time...but it's going to have to be once I get away from 56K (which is slated here in a month or two, supposedly).
