4-core cell processor, dual cameras, 3G modem.

PSP2 with no physical media would be as popular as the PSPgo was... which it wasn't. I guess they are trying to compete more with the iPod and iPhone than the DS or even the 3DS. With 3G, it sure looks that way.

At least Sony won't be as dumb as to charge extra for 3G support like the iPhone and iPad does. :specialed:

The PSPgo failed miersably because all of the previous media released for the PSP was basically null and void if you wanted to upgrade, and even then, why buy online when you can just buy the manual, disc, and all that jazz?

Because the manual would be incorporated in data form. The PSX games are like that.

Not to mention that if you're disc or manual get lost or go bad in purchased form, you'll have to go buy another one. Digital form, you can get it as much as you want as long as you have the same account.

There are benefits to the digital distribution. Of course many are on that 'no disc, no buy' train. Whether or not that lasts as the years progress, however...

They should follow after Nintendo then and make it backwards compatible. Add a UMD drive. I'm sure they could condense the hardware enough so it would not be too bulky. Even if all the PSP2 content was DLC, this would increase sales 100 fold by allowing people to upgrade and not have their original PSP with them to play their older games.

I like digital media, but only when it allows me to download something I buy onto more that one console. Unlike Nintendo...

Now Virgin looks like they're going to be back in the swing of things. Branson is hosting an E3 launch party.

Considering Cool Spot, for instance, this could mean some really nice things in the future across consoles.

On the physical side, though, used copies and discounts, and trading old games in to get newer ones (or selling them in general).

But to retort, used copies are now getting charges on them for online content (by at least two, if not three companies and growing), discounts for a game in data form happen over a copy in physical form (Record of Agarest War was 59.99 for the physical copy, 44.99 for digital) and discounts occur on PSN every so often for games.

And like gaming places give a lot of cash for them anyways. Of course, selling them on eBay would get you quite a larger price but even then that's starting to go downhill as of late outside of the older, now-dated collectibles that are almost considered antiques that you wouldn't want to sell until it boiled down to wanting a lot of cash anyways (rare games).

Natal's name to be released then.

Reports say 'Wave'.

Wave, Move, boy all of these names suck.

Rockstar's not going.

They called in at the last minute. Not enough content to go.

So much for GTA V.

Contra returns with Arc System Works as the driving force.

Contra + the makers of BlazBlue/Guilty Gear.

Oh yea, that's going to rawk.

I couldn't even finish the first KH. It was kind of boring for me. Besides the fact that I don't have a PSP anymore.

Just a few things that I'm looking forward to at E3:

At first I wasn’t really sure what to write down that made me excited about E3 this year. From what I heard so far, there wasn’t really anything that was drawing my attention to it. Then I started to look online and check out the line-up and that “meh” feeling changed for me.

X-COM

The only reason why I want to see this at E3 is to see how badly they’ve messed it up. The formula was already there and die hard fans wanted to see that in a current generation game. Of course that’s not the case since 2K wants to make it into an FPS. Not all games need to be solely FPS games, you know.

Naughty Bear

This feels more like an XBL arcade game than anything else. This sandbox game just looks different than anything I’ve seen before. I mean a killer teddy bear that is upset for not being in invited to a party decides to go postal on the other teddy bears? If anything this game could be a great time waster in between the heavy hitter games.

EyePet

EyePet caught my attention last year with its cute little creature. I was actually planning on getting this last year when it was supposed to have been released. Then it was delayed until the spring of this year. Now it seems it won’t be released until Sony’s Move is launched and both will be at E3 this year. It’ll be interesting to see what changes and new features they’ve added to EyePet.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 & Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

I was disappointed in the DLC content for the first installment but I’m hoping that they’ve improved with Unleashed 2 without changing what we loved about the first game. I have to wonder how they’re even able to make an Unleashed 2. With the second game in the title, I really do think it could great. I do have to wonder what else they could show us. There have been several updates and news about this MMO since it was first announced, so what’s left? Personally, I would still love to see Knights of the Old Republic 3 but for what I’ve been seeing from this MMO, this could be a great game and worth the monthly fee. They’ve taken elements from RPG games that have worked and incorporated it into an MMO.

Valve’s “Secret” Game

The main thing that has caught my interested is the announcement from Valve. Recently, Portal 2 was announced and geeks everywhere rejoiced. Then, out of the blue, Portal 2 was canceled and replaced with a surprise announcement to be revealed at E3. Some are guessing that it will be Half-Life 3 but as of right now, I’m not going to make a guess and await the surprise. Hopefully I won’t be let down by it.
