Daniel Wolf has filed a class-action lawsuit against both Sony and Square Enix, claiming that Final Fantasy XIII has caused "severe and widespread damage" to PlayStation 3 consoles.


I know the game wasn't that good, but come on, a law suit?

But really, it's about the freezing issues that FF13 had on some Ps3 units.

My brother's PS3 was one of those victims. I'm not sure if he's gonna try and get in on this since it cost him like, 180 to be fixed. (He even said when he called for repairs that they knew it was a common problem, unfortunately his warranty is up)

Needless to say... FFXIII is doing something wrong

Makes me glad I didn't get this one. It looks good graphic wise, but I don't like only being able to control 1 person. Plus, I miss the good old leveling system from 9 and down. 10 ruined the FF line for me.

Sine, shame that your brother had to waste money on fixing the system. IMO, he shouldn't have had to pay a dime.

Orlandu, FFX is my favorite. FF12 on the other hand...

I too hated what FFX did to the leveling system but I think it was made a bit nicer in FF12 (I'm the only one who thinks so). It seems like FF13 took everything that everybody hated about FF12 and ditched all of the good things, at least that's how that game feels to me.

Then again, I was used to playing FFXI with a bunch of idiots who couldn't follow simple instructions, I decided that a single-player(ish) version of that game with Gambits was a bit better.

FF13 takes out just about everything good about having any player control besides your own. In most cases, I would prefer the idiots from FFXI.

I watched someone play FF13 for five episodes (30 mins each) and I hated every single episode. Story was ok though. But I won't buy the game unless it's used and under 30 bucks.

I still may rent it just to say that I've played it. Though now I may not if it's going to brick my machine. What is it that causes the catastrophic crashes?
