I assume you mean little, as in, "little to do," which is wrong from what I'm told. Republicans do want more State Government involvement, rather than Federal Government. This is the majority of the south. Your stereotype claims they don't want any government intervention within the private sector, which isn't true. Maybe for some of the very far-right ones ( Anarchists? ), however, I'm seeing a different reality. I also don't see how not wanting a Federal Government to have an ass load of uncontrolled power correlates to wanting it to have absolutely no power. If I'm against part of x, I'm not necessarily against all of x.
