" Today, the PSP fights back. After having to deal with years and years of people complaining about the system having no games, about the games that are coming out not being that good, and about the PSPgo not being worth its $250 price tag, Sony's changing things.
A bunch of titles are dropping to $9.99 and becoming known as "Favorites," four games are getting added to the PSP Greatest Hits catalog, and the PSPgo will now be bundled with three games.
Kicking off the push is a plethora of games from both Sony itself and third parties dropping to $9.99."
They're also trying to stimulate PSPgo sales by giving you 3 games free. But they're pre-selected, LittleBigPlanet, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, and SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3. I bought the PSPgo a few days after it came out, but I didn't feel the need to keep it. I returned it and my wife's the next day and bought a PS3. Figured if we want to play games together, might as well do it on a bigger TV. Plus we have an iPod touch for games when we get bored while out and about.
PSP Go was an experiment in finding that people are still under 'no disc, no buy' for the most part. Digital is a nice -option- when disc isn't available but it's not necessarily the preferred choice, either.
Although, I do say it's nice to not have to deal with the people in retail when it comes to buying a game.

Orlandu: You're married? Erm, I mean, I wanted a PSP Go first. I have an original 1000 model, but last year I wanted a new PSP. New hardware, slimmer, etc.. But the PSP Go came out, and I was like "ohhhhh that's sexy". Seriously, even now with my new PSP 3000, I can't help but say just how damn sexy the PSP Go is. I used a Go in Best Buy. Glad I went for the 3000. The buttons don't really press in.
Because of this attack plan, I'm not sure whether to play the PS2 or PSP version of Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow.
PSP attack plan? How does a system that's hogtied by pirates execute an attack plan? Really, the only game people may buy is MGS: Peace Walker simply because it's a Hideo Kojima game... I'll applaud them for trying, but at this point, they really have no choice but to reveal the PSP2 at E3 and just move on.
That's my thinking really. There's no way this is an 'attack' plan. Just fancy wording for "we're moving on, buy our stuff if you have no idea about piracy."

Is that shocking or something? Yeah, I'm married. Got 2 kids also.
Anyway, the PSPgo was actually really cool. I just couldn't justify keeping it when my wife and I wanted to play games together. We'd rather play Rock Band on a big screen than linked on 2 little ones. Plus I wanted it mainly for Final Fantasy Tactics, but all the had available was the PS1 version port, not War of the Lions that allows multiplayer. But having the 16GB internal memory was great, although the games took a good bit of space. I have about 12GB on my iPod touch of just music, so I couldn't have all my music, a movie or 2, with more than 2 games on it at one time.
