Wait, I thought I was protecting you... blind leading the blind, I guess.
At any rate, yesterday we went to Harvard Square (or Hav
ahd Square) and did some shopping. After dinner, myself, Yokai-chan, and 3 others drove to a playground at an elementary school. We were playing 21, and some of the numbers had fairly loud phrases (loud laughing, loud meowing, loud singing). Then, one person in the group started freaking out.
TD: Oh my God, that car is a cop car.
Rest of us: Naw, you're just freaking out.
TD: Yeah, it is a cop car; look, it's got black and white.
Rest of us: Naw, it-- HOLY SHIT
Oh my God, you're right!
At this point in time, the car turns down the school's driveway. We're sitting on the playground.
Group:
What do we do?
I don't know, just be quiet!
Should we go down there?
No, just stay here.
Someone must have called us in.
Yeah, we were probably being too loud.
Well, we aren't doing anything illegal.
Yeah, the worst he can do is tell us to leave.
At this point in time, the cop is slowly driving through the parking lot. He has an absurdly bright light he's shining around. First he inspects the car. Then he takes the light and sweeps it across the field. The slide and other parts of the playground block most of his light, but some of it still falls on us.
Do you think he saw us?
It doesn't matter now. We'll just wait and see if he comes over or not.
It's going to be fun to read about this in the Concord Police Log.
Heh. Sure.
Is he going away?
I think so. Wait, why is he just sitting at the stop sign?
I don't know. Maybe this is where he likes to chill on Sunday nights?
Eventually he drives off. We decide to continue playing 21, except we are much quieter about it.
And today! Memorial day! Concord!
*Kaboom!* WTF? Was that a cannon? Oh, Memorial Day. Yep, sure was.
Nothing says "Good morning" like cannons firing!
