Well...

I for one love that avatar.

Even if it makes me stop up reading threads just to look at it. It's so... Mesmerizing.

Speaking of which, I need a car wash. When your car looks more tan instead of its actual color (silver), I think its time.

My grandparents' truck actually has an oil change sticker on it that says some date in 2008 or ~175000 miles.

That might have been useful information, but the odometer apparently stopped working a few months ago and nobody but me noticed.

I got the wash but the one on Buffalo and Cheyenne had red washer fabric things, not blue. I get my oil changed every 3000 so I can maintain the warranty on it.

From what you've said about them before, the oil probably hasn't been changed in 10 years.

Synthetic oil can actually go a long long time without being changed. As much as 40,000 miles or more. Only requires some to top it off occasionally.

I actually found some canister of somethinga while ago. Not a goddamn clue what it was other than some "refill canister" that looked like it was ancient.

So I checked... and the label:

© 1973.

15 years before I was born.

Yea I use synthetic in mine but I do change it every 3000-5000 and check it every other oil change. Pretty sure my older vehicle burns just a little so I have to stay on top of it.

Has done very well after conditioning the rings and babying it with premium.

Wow, changing synthetic every 3-5000? Thats gotta be expensive. I change mine the same, every 3000 or so, but with good old dino oil. Plus, its about the only time I get a car wash, since Terrible Herbst (gas station/lube center) gives you a free wash with each change.

Not really...with filter I can get it done under 30 most times by myself.

EDIT: 20 if you go with specials such as these.

I usually drop Valvoline in mine.

Reminds me, when was my last oil change? Hmmm...I think I need to find out. Not like I can get that done. Still need to save money to get two new back tires. The front ones are done, at least.
