I need to make a back up DVD of my current installation. Its whatever came from the factory and I don't remember if they sent me an actual back up disk.

Well, it seams I forgot to check the size limitations when I cropped it, as I recall they where quite high here, guess I messed up. V.v;

I don't even know the size of mine. I guess I could look, but I'm still a bit groggy right now.

The problem with Windows is it doesn't fucking work.

The problem with Linux is it doesn't fucking work.

Funny how that works out. (Or doesn't?)

I've used many Linuxes over the years, and overall I've decided that I prefer Windows, although I do like some specific features of Linux and some Linux GUIs.

I used to use a Mac from 2007 to 2009, but eventually I got sick of it... I realized how much I missed many of the features that Windows had. =/

As long as I can still use the Windows Classic theme, I'll be happy... =D

I've had pretty damn few issues with Windows 7. (the worst thing? bluescreening when killing AOL processes. I don't even count my 7 x64 horror stories.) My uptime is actually just about the same as Xkeeper's. Linux... it's okay, but emulation on it sucks horribly. Maybe I should kill x64 and just go back to x86 instead.

My G4 hasn't run into any issues either, save for Flash bogging it down. But isn't that normal?

I just wish XP on my PC would stop blue-screening whenever I attempt to join a Skype call.

Better than the PC's at work though; restart one of them and you'll be guaranteed to get a virtual memory error 5 minutes in.

I just get 2, 3 weeks uptime tops. Windows XP x64 is unstable in general, even when you factor out some other nasties like AMD's broken Cool n' Quiet drivers.

The best I've done on 98SE is about 25~30 days... although I rarely leave my old machine on anymore, and I can get several weeks on Windows 7 64-bit just fine. =D

When I was on an Intel iMac, I've gotten over 100 days on some occasions, although the Windows NT kernel can be just as stable as the Unix kernel. =P

IIRC, I've never left a computer on intentionally overnight.

I wasn't allowed to do that when I lived with my parents, and then I lived in small apartments in which the hum was close enough to make it hard for me to go to sleep. Plus some laptops would refuse to run anything with the lid closed, and it tended to give too much light for me to sleep comfortably (although I'm used to sleeping with some light).

Windows 7 hasn't failed me ... although I do get a very annoying error quite often. Since the taskbar is so annoyingly huge (imo) I set it to auto-hide, but then if I let my PC stay on for a while and have the display turn off, when it turns on again it freezes and then I get a display driver error (crashed and had to be restarted) - this has only happened with auto-hide enabled :/

I've tried updating drivers but nothing... Has anyone else had this happen?

This, essentially. I just don't understand, other than for lengthy processes, why people just leave their computers on all night when there's the fucking hibernation feature.

My computer can't hibrnate without crashing.

Actually, my computer can hardly stay on without crashing. I think it might be overheating. Or maybe Linux is doing something weird. Or maybe eMacs are stupid.

By the way, Apple, congratulations on selling computers that self-destruct when the screen resolution is set wrong.

Logging IRC chatrooms. (At least, that's why I leave my PC running over night for.) My record is two months, if you were wondering.

On that matter, changing the screen resolution was my favorite way of breaking school computers. They have everything disabled so you can't mess with them, but the Intel Graphics tray icon is running all the time. And guess what, it allows you to change the screen resolution. Even to nonsensical values such as, er, 2048x1536.
